I didn't even watch the dub. I only know they made "the one who knocks" joke and Hahari's confession had that weird "stop this madness" part. I don't think they had any chance to top Sumire either way (I challenge anyone to listen to the full version of the ending "song" and tell me you didn't have a reaction from the last 30 seconds of it)

Okay, I know these are just clips... but I am on side of "cringe" these time. The only VA to pull off the original character is Kusuri's one. Everyone else just sounds boring and safe.

As an up to date manga reader some people will not like me saying this but this is the closest thing we will get to a modern day gintama even though it’s a different genre and doesn’t have the action and seriousness of it is on the same level if not better(imo) because of all the unhinged comedy 4th wall breaks extreme but lovable characters and emotional moments and despite some questionable characters(who I still love by the way) and consistently good and funny writing this I can comfortably say this is a 10/10 manga and one of my favorites of all time and I pray the anime will continue living up to the greatness of the manga sorry for this long paragraph I just love this series so much. Also my opinion on the dub is I’m not a huge fan of the dub but I can respect some of the comedy choices it feels like they put a lot of effort into it I’m just not a huge dub person 😊
