The NPC This is going to sound like a joke but I’m dead serious I was addicted to heroin in my early twenties. After I finished college I was living with my parents trying to kick dope. I started watching KZbin because I had so much free time on my hands when I was going through withdrawals alone in my room. I discovered a whole genre on KZbin of people eviscerating bad movies, one of the first ones I saw was talking about the room. Those videos kept me entertained. They kept me from thinking about my cravings, how bad my body ached. I’ve been clean for 3 years, as I result I don’t use/sell drugs anymore, I don’t steal anymore, I don’t forge prescriptions anymore. Those KZbin videos kept me entertained during the most painful period of my life. So yes I’m some odd way Tommy Wiseau kept me from committing crimes.

I love the "black comedy" bit. If you look at the back of the movie's case, the entire summary sounds completely serious, like "What if you can't trust anyone?" but then there's one more sentence tacked on about how the movie's a black comedy. My Tommy Theory: He's wealthy to a ridiculous degree, know one knows his past, and no one knows where he gets his money, and he acts strangely. I think he was in an accident of some sort, that gave him brain damage, he sued, won a ton of money for his injury, moved to America with it, and pursued an acting career. His behavior SEEMS funny, but as someone who has met a person or 2 with brain damage from car accidents, this is exactly how they behave.
