interesting passage you chose here definitely some "palace intrigue" ((actually, quite brutal - some foreshadowing??))

5:00 --- we actually used to say this prayer at a congregation I used to attend (I moved away) I was told the last word "should" be pronounced "moloch" but that was also the name of an idol (demon?) so they pronounce it technically wrong so that they don't say it that way

Perhaps they were following the Ashkenazi pronunciation (also Yemeni) where they pronounce qamats as “o”. So they have Dovid, Isroel etc.

Is מלאך the word for angel? If so, does it come from the same root?
@TheHebrewBible

Yes מלאך is angel, but the root is not מלך. I wanted to mention it in the video but forgot to include the slide.

@@TheHebrewBible could you tell me what the root is, please?
@TheHebrewBible

@@Waiting4Him111 apparently it is לאך (to send) which is not found in the Hebrew Bible, but attested in Ugaritic, Arabic and Ge’ez. Another related word in the Tanakh is מלאכה (work, business, etc).
