for any of you that don’t know: the rose filed a lawsuit against their company around march to terminate their contract because they haven’t been paid & was overly worked. they posted it all on instagram and it was soon deleted and we haven’t heard anything about it in months. recently an article came out and said they went to court and the request for termination of the contract was denied by the court. the company now says they are trying to settle this in a friendly manner. edit: “black rose” has now been removed from most if not all streaming sources, the video is only available on youtube. 10 month update: woosung has officially mentioned that the rose has left their company!! :D THE ROSE IS REALLY FREE however, this song was not published under the company, so if you can please stream as this may be a way to help them and it’s the least we can do for the boys.

I'm new to The Rose, I mean really new lol 5months into Kdrama, 3months or so fan of BTS and probably just a month that I heard the first song by The Rose and loved it! I love the few songs I've heard so far so just starting to learn more about them. Now question... are they all in the military now? all 4 of them? When I looked up The Rose online it said they're an independent group... wait I'll share it here... "The Rose (더로즈) consists of 4 members: Hajoon, Woosung, Dojoon, and Jaehyung. The band debuted under J&Star Company on August 3rd, 2017 with their single ‘Sorry’. The Rose is currently an independent group following the members’ request of their contract’s termination due to mismanagement." From what you said, I definitely understand the mismanagement! I hope when they're out of the military they either sign up with a decent agency or stay independent... I believe fans can help to some extent making them more popular, but at some point they'll need some help with promotions, etc.

people need to STOP sleeping on the rose. i am so sick of people not treating them how they deserve to be treated. their company didnt pay them, but instead overworked them. think of how tired and sick of this they must be. but they still stuck with us through all that. and put on a happy smile even when going through something we dont and never will understand. the decision of staying together with black roses and finding a new company even after losing at court is something i really respect them for. i hope they know how much we love them, and even though we miss them so much, we will stay and wait for however long it takes. we just want the rose to be happy. i'm just here to tell you, Woosung, Dojoon, Jaehyeong, and Hajoon, that *it's okay.* we'll stay with The Rose until the end, us black roses 🖤🥀

It feels just like yesterday that I discovered this band just after they debuted. I didn’t know then but they would become the reason why I’m still here. I didn’t know that now, they would be my source of comfort and feel like home to me. It’s crazy to see how far they’ve come and I’m so so proud of them. Hearing about their situation hurt, no idol should go through that. @@shanti3133 basically their company hadn’t been paying them at all since their debut even though they’ve being selling albums, merch, touring etc, so they terminated their contracts and were taking legal action. currently 3 of the members are doing their mandatory military service and the other is american so he doesn’t have to, but they haven’t disbanded so please keep supporting them!

Sophia The other channel and accounts is under their agency. They made new accounts (The Rose Sound) so they still can interact with us. They made this new channel so they can upload this MV. Right now, they’re not yet totally free from the company as the case is still ongoing, and we’re still waiting for official updates from them.

@@alyaaqmar someone further down made a longer explanation, to keep it short: they're in legal dispute with their company due to them not being paid & overworked tour schedules etc. They went silent while this case was (still is?) ongoing. Then we were informed Dojoon will do his military service so no new music probably atm. Now they opened new social media accounts and gave us this song as gift for the fans. We'll see how it continues and if they'll find a new company, but they're friends that love making music together, so at one point they'll get back to it :)
