The creatures were coming and the The Doctor was on the other side. She wanted the wormhole closed before they came, but the scientist wanted The Doctor to escape no matter what even if it meant letting some monsters through so he disobeyed her orders.

Lee Evans (the man who plays Malcom) is a famous comedian in real life. In his sketches he does, he uses a character called Malcom to use as part of his stories. Now you know why his character is called Malcom!

I loved this episode... as an eight year old expat in Dubai at the time it was really fun to watch. Fun fact: The bus was meant to tour around a few British schools in Dubai but when it got dropped at the drydocks they had to both rewrite the script and cancel the tours. I was not very happy.

That ain't a Routemaster, its a Bristol VRT. I should know as I own an authentic Routemaster (RML2271) and used to drive the same type of Bristol VR bus used in that Doctor Who episode.

I used to hate this episode but now i love it. My favorite aspect is that the doctor clearly doesn't like UNIT being more military than Scientific like they used to be but this episode shows that without that Militaristic edge they have things would have been ALOT worse.
