As a Rover car owner and motorcycle enthusiast, it's truly wonderful to see these Rover motorcycles being made over 100 years ago. Also seeing them being ridden and enjoyed by their very enthusiastic testers. 👍😎

Complete engine assembly without a micrometer, feeler gauge or torque wrench. Now that's talent!!

This was the tue and last days of the apprentice when one would learn skills past down to you by an experienced work man, when things were made by hand and made to last. These machines still run l doubt if today bike would last that long thanks great video

Having worked on many J.A.P. engines I believe they forgot to set valve and magneto timing. Still a good video.

Had to laugh at the testers Flat Caps, bicycle clips and riding while smoking pipes. New bike just gets trashed in the water feature lol

In those days of 1910 comically large engines of 500 cc were attached to spindly bicycle frames to produce 3.5 HP.
@scoutdogfsr7 ай бұрын
3.5hp yes. Though 500cc of reciprocating mass is going to produce a good bit more torque. We are not talking about a lawnmowers 3.5hp here.

Strange seeing the way they put the engines together! Not very clean, & the trustee hammer to fit cam bushes,#@?! ⛏️🔧. Can You imagine how reliable those engines would have been, if they were put together in clean modern workshops, "without using the big hammer" ?

Hahaha, look at them. Not a single care in the world, just pissing about on bikes around country lanes.

The Rover Imperial motorcycles were produced from 1903- 1924 so WWI would have certainly taken away their carefree world, along with many of their lives, unfortunately.
