Aloha from Honolulu This is the most beautiful version of this hymn. I've been singing this song for most of my 82years. I cried while watching all of the different ethnic faces sing in harmony. Out of the gloomy past, Facing the rising sun of our new day begun!

Beautiful. I can imagine these voices, this song being sung through the empty streets of our cities. If only song could wipe out evil and sickness. Oh, but I could only imagine.

Right on! Big shout out to the Roxbury Latin School. In my lifetime I have never heard such a diverse group of high school students sing Lift Every Voice! #bostonstrong #lifteveryvoice #blm

The world is greatly appreciative of these uplifted voices. Their brotherly harmony is what will begin to heal and bring our divided country, and world, to believing that only when we listen to one another with respect, and take to heart the duty of being brothers and sisters to all will our voices be truly lifted up. A sincere thanks to the choir master for leading and bringing these young men to their, and his, acquisition of tenderness and gratitude. ♬

I too am very moved by this rendition of the song. Thank you to Roxbury Latin, the singers, and the teacher who chose and worked with these wonderful young men. I listen to it frequently. About 6 weeks ago I decided to listen to Lift Every Voice every morning as an antidote to the fear and hopelessness I felt. It lifts my spirit and gives me hope and energy to keep on.

That was absolutely - positively - beautiful! I cry each time I sing and hear that song. It has meant so much to the Black community and to see people of all hues and cultures singing it together is inspiring. Thank you for singing with such feeling and for sharing this video with the world.

Gentlemen...what a tearful rendition. I am a HS teacher in south Florida and I also teach theology at our school. This moved me deeply. To see young men of different ethnic/cultural backgrounds working as a true team was so hopeful!!! I work closely with our choral director and I will strongly suggest that we learn this song also..,,thank you for the hard work and effort. It paid off!

I just stumbled across this searching for a good version of this hymn. You did a beautiful, moving job. It was made even more meaningful to me because I am a religion and philosophy teacher at St. Andrews School down in Delaware, and I know RL well. Thank you!

Great job, guys. My, how far RL has come in its musical programs.Way back when, it was nine kids in glee club, five of whom weren't quite sure why they were there. Shout out to Cameron Rylance, my music teacher back in the early sixties who died in a car accident midway through my first year, but inspired me to begin a lifelong study of the arts and education. .
