Imagine in comments. You can also put sugar in chicken. Pre mix with sugar and chicken, lay it in there, Put some 2 cups of creamy milk, then put a whole butter in it, then heat it up, add powder, pat pat pat, into the batter. After that, deep fry it. and there you go. Sweet chicken with random ingredients.

So many comments on my only salting the chicken before roasting. It's English roast chicken not southern friend chicken, don't confuse the two. Just salting makes the skin incredibly crisp and delicious and you really get to taste the chicken. You don't have to smother every protein you cook in herbs and spices. Look at the roast chicken Michelin star chef Thomas Keller cooks... www.thecomfortofcooking.com/2015/05/thomas-keller-3-ingredient-roasted-chicken.html

It's clear that the people complaining here about the chicken only being salted 1, have never eaten fresh chicken 2, clearly know nothing about flavour combinations and 3, are so bad at cooking that they have to hide behind packet seasonings. Fresh and lightly salted baked chicken tastes phenomenal, especially when it is being paired with a rich mac and cheese such as the one made here. The very fact that he used heaps of parmesan and fresh cheddar says it all. You don't need to smother the chicken in seasonings, it will destroy the dish and make the entire thing unbalanced and incredibly salty. No one wants that. The clear issue here is that the Americans in the comments are used to bland mac and cheese made with plastic cheese, and so they have to over compensate by lathering their GMO'd tasteless chicken with more plastic spices. Come to the UK and taste some REAL food.

I enjoy McGrady's demos so much! Beautiful Mac-n-Cheese. I know that many chefs skip mustard but I'm a fan and when it's baked, I always top with bread crumbs.

This is why the British royals are respected. There's nothing fancy about this, it's just good food everybody can agree on!

Everybody putting this man on blast for not using spices, but there is something delicious about juicy, crispy plain roasted chicken.

Oh my goodness, this Gent is adorable :) - excuse the intrusion, but I'd of tossed some seasoned bread crumbs on the mac&cheese, and dredged the broccoli through the cheese sauce and topped with toasted bread crumbs. Yum!

mac and cheese is the first thing I ever learned how to make from scratch at the age of 15 and ignited my love of cooking. this is the exact same recipe I used back then. Now when I do this cheese sauce ill usually experiment with different cheese and spice blends. My latest has been a smoked gouda and fontina mix with a touch of cayenne pepper.

I tried this recipe and it was good. The mac and cheese was terrific! I tried the chicken and I wasn't expecting much with just salt. But the chicken was surprisingly good. Sometimes less is more at times.
