It looks like a salmon wellington but the mixture is different for me, so I've dubbed this one the Russian Wellington so I can keep up with the two different but similar ways. The way I know to make a Salmon Wellington uses parmesan, breadcrumbs and optionally spinach. This seems to be with mushrooms, onion and rice. Which sounds great, although I prefer shallots instead of a typical onion as they aren't as rich. Now the tricky part is trying to nail that sauce he made with pureed peppers and chicken broth...

A story I heard was that the queen's concern for garlic comes from not wanting bad breath, in case of meeting the public or dignitaries. When she travels, the kitchens where she dines must be cleaned top to bottom, every wine glass, plate and utensil is sanitized, pots and pans are properly scoured, fridges are thoroughly washed down. Ostensibly it is to ensure there is no trace of garlic , but really to ensure everything is sanitary. Not all establishments have the same standards of hygiene and she can't risk being sick.

nepotism is the real American dream, amirite?
@slappymcface56814 жыл бұрын
Noah Mitchell ignorant statement. Do not envy people that have outworked and surpassed you. It shows a lack of character. Nepotism is an act of employing or promoting or otherwise giving benefits to someone purely based on relationships and not performance. Using this Chef as an example, he started at an entry level government position and worked his way to the top. Now, if you have never done this it can be easy to trick yourself into thinking everyone is surpassing you because of nepotism or the boss is playing favorites. In reality, what’s happening is the boss is moving people up that are working the Hardest and require the least supervision. The guy at the bottom stays at the bottom because the boss knows that’s all that employee is capable off. The American dream is the opportunity (not the guarantee) to be successful based on your own effort, and I have yet to meet anyone in America that hasn’t had that opportunity.

@@slappymcface5681 1) You know nothing about me 2) You know nothing about me 3) You know nothing about me 4) How about the millions of immigrants seeking the American dream that Trump turns away, or steals the children from, etc. 5) The American dream is an idyll touted by the government so that the citizens are more content with the elitism and social stagnation of the country. In reality, it does not exist. The few individuals it does happen for are used by both parties to show that the dream is alive and well when in reality it is 6ft under.
@slappymcface56814 жыл бұрын
Noah Mitchell I never claimed to know anything about you, but apparently I hit a nerve. Also, how are you trying to turn this into an immigration conversation? It leads me to believe it’s your go to argument when faced with any conflict. I will go ahead and point out the fact that ZERO legal immigrants have been deported or separated from their children by this administration. Do you know how many immigrants have come to the United States and started their own business and thrived. Do you know why they come here and thrive and don’t stay where they are and thrive? Because the dream is available to those who are willing to work for it here.

Something similar happened to me, when I was learning my craft, the new president came to visit my company. Someone shouted in the morning "Fischer is here Fischer is here". (Heinz Fischer, our president) At the time I was a young kid I didn't care about politics and didn't know who he was so I yelled back: "TELL HIM TO BRING ME A NICE LOOKING TROUT." Funny coincidence I met the guy actually when I walked into the cantine and he smiled at me took me to the side and we took a picture. Later on i showed the picture to my mother and asked who the hell that was and she confirmed: It was the president...
