The Royal Family - New Zealand added a Silver Medal to go along with the three Gold Medals that they won in 2011, 2012, & 2013, at Hip Hop International's 2015 World Hip Hop Dance Championship held at Harrah's Resort Southern California with the finals held at Viejas Arena at San Diego State University with over 6,000 in attendance.

I'm not sure what the specific criteria was for this competition, but after watching all top 3 teams in this category I feel like Royal Family should've gotten gold, but I'm not a judge. Congrats to all three winners :)

The judges the last couple of years have been more in favor or hip hop roots they like to we popping locking breaking ect. But this set was perfect idk what else

+Alpha Meghan They were not nearly as clean even though the choro was better. No one is better are using levels than Paris. Also they did not have quite as many elements and a lot of them were a bit easier technically. So I can see why they got second place. Now their 2013 gold medal was the best routine I have ever seen in any category.

CROWNS UP! 1:09 the blonde girl on the right from the middle group 1:56 red head in the left shouldve turn her head to the left (But u can hardly see it) 2:42 girl on the end left 2:53 kirsten was late in the head tilt 2:57 shyvon, her left hand still on her head 3:07 kirsten was late on raising her arms and so was the girl on the end too (right side) 3:15 the girl on the end (left side)

Mistakes notwithstanding...Royal Family had "The Over-the-Top Stage Presence" that many of the other teams lacked. Their continued high energy, transitions and fluidity caused them to stand out and above the rest. Music was the BEST of the Comp! Well Done. They should have taken FIRST.

I know absolutely zero about hiphop dancing but this makes me so goddamn proud to be a Kiwi. Like it would've been nice for them to win I guess but who really cares, the routine itself is the prize. The whole aesthetic of it is just dripping with sass and style and awesomeness. I have watched this literally twenty times and keep finding new favourite parts (current one is the hair flick at 1.56!) I am so glad I discovered this!

Royal Family looked really disappointed during the awards ceremony. Yes, their routine was insanely good but I think they should have shown a little more gratefulness for even placing. Even the defending champions were thrilled to get just the bronze. One of the hosts had asked all medalists to stay on stage but half of RF had already left. I don't mean to come off negative by the way. I thought RF was going to get gold as well. But it is nice to see a new country take gold. Congrats to the winners

I think the half of the rf members would have left the stage to comfort literally all the other palace crews after they had found out the hadn't placed in the top 3. Everyone was so quick to judge the rf on how ungrateful they looked when receiving their medals when they probably would've been shocked for the other 3 crews not placing.

Then again. anyone would be disappointed to not get 1st place when they've won it before. I still have mad respect for them and their creativity though.

When you go into a comp, you don't go to come 2nd place. You go to win that title and become world champs. They have every right to be disappointed. You can't fake Happy. If it was the Rugby World Cup do you think that The All Blacks, Springboks, Wallabies or England will be "Happy Happy" and smiling with second/third place??? No, because they all came to win that title. They will have the same feeling that the Royal Family felt when they got 2nd, that feeling of disappointment.

Royal family should have gotten gold because through out all the many dancers dancing in the stage..there wasn't any collision with each other..the timing was amazing according to the dance mix and those are the most important things to avoid during championship dancing...congratulations to all three winners...:)
