AP Jumbo is a legend, a 50-year-old legend, no doubt. I respect AP as a company but I absolutely don't understand the approach to the customer. A customer who really loves watches. Such a customer is invited to the boutique. In a boutique you are talking, exchanging opinions, admiring watches. Everything as it should be. This is in line with the Audemars Piguet brand level. Then, after more than an hour of a very nice atmosphere ... when I try to order a watch that I really like I get the answer that I can't be added to the list for this particular model. I can't because I don't have another AP watch, a watch that I don't like (see, for example, Code 11.59). Audemars Piguet, this is how you treat your potential customers... And the question remains will I first buy another AP watch, that I simply don't like and be put on the "waiting list" for the Jumbo or would I rather go to another reputable brand (VC) whose watch I already bought a few years ago. I bought , because I just liked it. In the Vacheron boutique, no one persuaded me, forced me to buy one or another watch. That's the difference .

Yes the predatory sales tactics are really disgusting. But also you have to accept that you can not buy a RO at AP. I have the same situation and it is annoying as a young watch fan but also just how the market goes.

facing a similarly discouraging situation here in hong kong. honestly theres nothing wrong to just wanting to buy a royal oak….its AP’s best effort. And then the staff just see me as ‘another flipper’. AP should increase the production capacity and when the grey market price no longer exceeds the retail, AP will see who are those actually in love with the watches

My mentor wears royal oak and he advised me “Don't ever break someone's trust. Once you do, then nobody wants to do business with you.”; I kept his word as my foundation of my business and Royal Oak as my goal since I was 40. By 48 years old I was trusted to expand my business and successfully expanded my business; and the Royal Oak in gold is the 2nd gold watch that I bought , after I got my gold Daydate President years before . I think Royal Oak in gold ; it is the pinnacle. I feel that I have achieved my goal and reward myself with the watch, and never expect the price has appreciated so much, which is a bonus if one day I pass that to someone that can keep “Don't ever break someone's trust. The jumbo is a piece of art for sure it is recognizable but none others watches is more recognizable than Rolex they hold the crown for a good reason……

honestly…. the royal oak is so good except that the boutique treats everyone who is looking to buy their first royal oak as flippers and turn them down funny enough you can always find latest royal oak on the grey market which were supposed to have been sold to ‘real’ users AP should review their sales mechanism. The only thing that I have done wrong was born few years too late. In 2017 there were royal oak on display at boutiques but I could not afford them yet Now I can but AP only sell to returning customers, and some of them flip the watches

Yup I heard one of the staff mentioned that they won't be entitled to any commission sales from royal oak or royal oak offshores. They will only get commissions by selling code 1159.

Please don’t make these videos if you are not able to meet the demands! I have been looking for a Royal Oak for the past 4 years and it seems the only way to buy it is via Gray Market!! And pay 2/3 times retail price which I m not willing to do, not because I cannot afford to pay but because I find it unethical to promote such practices!! I am giving up on my desire to acquire AP! It will stick with Rolex and Patek for now! Good bye AP….enjoy your journey alone, I won’t be joining you…
