There were eight adult bridesmaids and four children one of whom was the Princess Elizabeth, who at this point was not destined to be Queen. The future Edward VIII, can be briefly seen, for those not in the know he is the one that abdicated to marry an American divorcee and become the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. May Cambridge was the great granddaughter of Queen Victoria and niece to Queen Mary.

First 2 guests to approach camera are the brothers, Duke of Kent and Duke of Gloucester. G is on right, as I sit looking at them. Didn't catch those immediately behind them. Next car is The Queen mother, with the future Queen in a white fur. Her father is behind them, as they approach the camera and I know the face of the chap walking with the then Duke of York, but name won't come. Edit: Is it Prince Gustav Adolf of Sweden? Not sure, now. 2nd in line to Swedish crown, but was killed in 1947 in a plane crash. I think he was introduced to a Princess in the bridesmaids, was it Princess Sibylla? And they married about 12 months later. Then the bridesmaids, then the next car has Queen Mary at the front, with the high level church reps, and Edward, PofW, later Duke of Windsor, about 2? rows back. I think there is one pair of men behind him and a single man on his own. I would make a GUESS that Princess Mary might have been behind the Duke of Gloucester. I have the phone dark, (and film is too fast), so it will last longer and old eyes. I think this was the first royal marriage with the new prayer book and she did NOT promise to obey!

Lady May Cambridge had been one of the eight bridesmaids to Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon when she married the Duke of York (later King George VI) in 1923. They appear at 1:55 along with their daughter, the 6 year old Princess Elizabeth. At 1:11 we see Prince George the Duke of Kent, with his brother Prince Henry The Duke of Gloucester, at 2:16 we see Queen Mary arrive and climb out of her car, and she is followed into the church by a small group of guests which includes Edward (David) Prince of Wales (2:41, with Thelma Furness) later King Edward VIII. The exceedingly happy couple met when he was ADC to her father the Earl of Athlone, Governor General of South Africa 1928 to 1931. They would set up home at Barton Lodge, Winkfield, Windsor, producing one son and one daughter.

Lady May Cambridge was daughter of Princess Alice and granddaughter of Prince Leopold, Queen Victorias youngest son.

No one but the Villagers look very Happy about this Wedding. No one was caught with a Smile or engaged with the enormous crowds cheering them on. Mabe the didn't Want to get Married? Ma e forced by tradition or something akin to that. Sad if so.
