Silly title. Royal weddings in the late 19th century were relatively restrained - in all ways - compared to those of the 20th century. The pronunciations of the voice over are also sometimes ridiculous.

Why does everyone here comment only on Mary, but not on George as well? Its like the guy is invisible and always second to everyone else. He was such a handsome man btw ❤

She was always referred to as May of Teck. He cheated on her but she ignored his indiscretions. She added grace and regal standing to the royal house which ultimately kept it together.

Would’ve been a nice detail to have the guest list, music, reception and wedding breakfast included

Thank you. 😊Nice video 👍(subscribed) Despite her terrible (narcissistic) behavior, I can not help but feel sorry for Queen Victoria after Albert died. He was the only bright spot of her life and she had come to depend upon him to help her navigate what little governing the monarch still did by the mid-1800's. *In the first photo the elderly man in red* (bald, white moustache and mutton-chop sideburns) was the bride's[1] uncle, Prince George, Duke of Cambridge, first cousin of Queen Victoria and brother of the bride's mother (i.e. Princess Mary Adelaide of Cambridge[2], who had married (in 1866) Francis, Duke of Teck[3] He was a life-long soldier. There is a statue of George, Duke of Cambridge near the Horse Guards in London. The 3 German names/titles within the BRF were changed in 1917 by order of George V[4] _________________________________________ 1.) *Mary "May" of Teck (Later, Queen Mary of the UK, the wife/queen-consort of George V)* en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_of_Teck 2.) Queen Victoria's father (Prince Edward, Duke of Kent and Strathearn - the #4 son and #5 child of George III) AND Princes Mary Adelaide's father (Prince Adolphus, Duke of Cambridge - the #7 son, and #10 child of George III) WERE BROTHERS (Geoge III and his queen-consort, Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, had 15 children) 3 .) *Francis, Duke of Teck* was of the House of Württemberg -- known as Count Francis von Hohenstein until 1863) Francis of Teck was a second son of a second son; his marriage to Princess Mary Adelaide of Cambridge was morganic. 4.) *House of Windsor* en.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_of_Windsor The House of Teck became the House of Cambridge in 1917. The House of Battenburg became the House of Mountbatten in 1917. The House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (Prince Albert's family name. Queen Victoria was a Hanover) became the House of Windsor in 1917

Queen Mary was Queen Elizabeth's Grandmother. As custom of the time she was a good mother, but not loving, as we know The Princess of Wales, and the Duchess of Edinburgh, and Diana.

Who were the Duke and Duchess of York at that time. Are there photos of them?

I enjoy your voice, and I was entranced by this tale. But one thing was a little distracting. The -ham suffix in place names is never fully pronounced. So, for example, it would be Bucking'm.

The video mentioned how many parts of Mary's wedding dress came from her mother's wedding dress. Was Princess Mary's mother still alive at the date of the wedding, and if so, was she present in the chapel?
