With da Vinci this song would never get where it is and da Vinci knew so much that he recorded only the first version that by the way it was horrible and fell out Alan Williams took the place recorded nextand It was a Worldwide success because Alan has charisma beauty and has friendliness Alan was,is and always will be the best.

@@wandacastro3811 It was never re-recorded by Alan Williams. Paul DaVincis' version was the number one version and what you are hearing here. Williams wasn't even in the studio the night Paul recorded this song. Only John, who did the spoken part. Paul did it as a demo but nobody would record it. The notes were too high. Polydor Records released Paul's version. When it began to climb the charts, they created a fake band called The Rubettes. Williams was the fake Frontman. When, the Rubettes were on TOPS, studio musicians and singers did a version for Williams to mime. Williams has never sang a note on this song. He can't hit the high notes. Paul DaVinci is the only one that has ever did this song. He had the number one record. It's been proven. Paul said so. Tony Waddington , the last surviving co- writer of Sugar Baby Love said it was Paul. Alan Williams is a fraud. Check out the Great Pretender's channels.
