I really like this series Taylor, it's super interesting to know about Hong Kong from their food! I have a video suggestion: Could you talk and show us about the difference between japanese make up and fashion trends and the ones in Hong Kong? What's popular there style-wise? Which are your favorite clothing stores in Hong Kong?

I find it really fascinating that most every nation/country have a porridge/congee style dish, fermented pickle dish and fermented milk dish. All these three are super nutritious, widely tolerated by most people and probiotic/aid digestion too.

@CoffeeAndShop

Milkymoles. Yes, you’re so right. Often pickling vegetables were the only way to make them last back in the non-technology centuries, and for example with Sauerkraut it would contain the Vitamin C and would prevent you from Skorbut. I think it‘s the same with other vegetables, so pickled veg is not only durable but is very healthy as well:))

Do you mean congee? I would make it with cooked rice. Add into stock and lots of seasoning you like. And cook until it is like a thick rice soup. There are lots of recipe on the internet.

I love this series a lot! Thanks Taylor 🙏🏻 I’m a Hong Konger but I find that there are not that many foreign youtubers making videos to introduce Hong Kong... so it is a great series of videos! Btw, 7-11 in Hong Kong is really so international😂 but it seems that they prefer japanese snacks that they have import a lot snacks from Japanese brands or even from Japan’s 7-11😂

As a local I heard about it. They value their efficiency and expect you to sit down, order your meal and drink, finish your meal and pay within 10-15 minutes. It's also extremely crowded with just enouh space for 1 person to squeeze thru between occupied chairs. They're not afraid to swear and talk back because it's their restaurent and you're a tresspasser if they feel like it.

Fasting is something you do over a longer period of time. Ramadan isn't fasting, it's not eating for 17 hours and then stuffing yourself like pigs. That is NOT fasting by any definition, sorry.

phangirlable nope you’re wrong sweetie. Fasting is the willing abstinence or reduction from some or all food, drink, or both, for a period of time. So basically Ramadan is fasting but for religious reasons.

Nope, not eating for only 17 hours and then eating like pigs every night isn't fasting. XD It's however the epitome of religious hypocrisy. It's high profile virtue signalling.

The food at convenience stores in Canada is not that yummy-looking :( It's like soggy sandwiches and expired yogurt and really expensive cheese sticks haha.

Lisa - I see Sandwiches with 4 slices vegan meat, 2 vegan Cheese slices, 2 slices tomato, red onion, mushrooms, thin iceberg lettuce and Buffalo sauce. It was 6 dollar the bread was soggy, the iceberg lettuce was not crunchy, it had soft texture like aged lettuce. It was in a cnvenience 711, at Chicago USA. The convenient sandwiches are 3 dollars to 7 dollars. The sandwitches cost 3 dollars have 2 slices meat and 2 slices cheese and thin expired lettuce. I think "wow a waste of bread. "
