Nothing like chaos, when every fisherman voices an opinion - ha, "you gotta keep pressure on him" = no kidding. This crew is hilarious!

1) you need to fight Giants with a lot more drag, you need to put real heat on these big boys. 2) Your moving the boat and chasing way too much. I.e. your not tiring him out because you don't have enough pressure. chase when you need to, not every second of the fight. use the boat to change angles not just a slay ride.

just got back from our Helen H 2 day LTD Capt. special. another great trip in the books. conditions were hard but still managed to get 6 keepers. 3 6lb range 2 18.5 inch and my Runner up almost pool 8.1lb fish. pool winner was 10.3, lost by 2lbs. i live in Cape May NJ and im super jealous of their fluke fishery lol. we go once a year! first day was haddock and pollack and did well there too. my brother had 8 fluke keepers easy. it was a grind for me though haha. i love that we achor up at sea overnight

That's fantastic bud! I'm glad you had a great time. The Helen H is a great boat and you can't beat Nantucket Shoals for fluke. I swear they taste better out there too. Thanks a lot for the comment!

That’s what happens when you use spinning rods out there. We used to go out there with flats of butter fish with pen 50s 80s catch a few at a time. Never had to fight them that long 🎣
@nextdriftfishing5 ай бұрын
Those are words of wisdom, Greg. I said the same thing yesterday. Once they get past a certain size, spinning gear is out classed.

Thanks for giving us a taste of what it takes to land one of these treasured tunas. I gotta say , you guys gave it your all. I’ve never done it before. Maybe one day. . I could only imagine how heartbreaking it must be to fight it for so long for it to come off. You guys took it too well, IMO. 😂 but the way, those guys were D!cks! A lot of A-holes on the water these days. We almost got taken out just drifting for fluke the other day. Absolutely uncalled for. Thx for the vid. 🤙🏼

@andrewrollins48983 ай бұрын
Y'all are too greedy with the fishing rod. The person reeling in a fish should pass off the rod before they get tired. That way there's always adequate pressure on the fish. Getting a drink in the middle of reeling in a fish would never happen on my boat. I hate KZbin and all of its censorship!
