This is the only other colossal sword I've tried if I remember right: works pretty well with a strength/intelligence build. I especially love it's fully charged heavy as it causes a gravity impact that functions like gravity stones. Hard to hit, but hits hard.

Hey uh suggestion, why not try the invisibility build? If you combine assassin's gambit (skill) and unseen form (spell) it makes you semi invisible, but what's really fun is that it temporarily disables target lock. It's fun to see mages, crouch pokers, and halberd users that spam the same move completely forget how to play the game without their precious little lock-on. Also using daggers as your weapons helps you keep the theme as a sneaky assassin while also giving a challenge to the build (because daggers straight up suck for pvp). It would be cool if you could make this actually viable with daggers, because I tried this build and even with unfair invis I could barely get any wins with a dagger.

I like the godslayer greatswords design, and I need to try it out sometime. My favorite by far though is the zwiehander. Starscourge are great as well, but the zwiehander is just the most real looking, very powerful with spear talisman, has some sexy fashion frames. Nothing is more deus vult than having a greathelm and a zwiehander. I will never not love it.

Bro after you have done so many builds i would recommend a ✨ghost✨ build. The build: deaths poker and the spear you get from a deathbird i dont remember the name and you could also use the ghost- death incantations as for the talismans you know better than me what you could use. Ruins greatsword is pretty cool! I also want to try the grafted blade, you can't get an ash of war on that bad boy but it looks cool and on a full STR build has a very similar AR as the colossal greatsword. Recently I've been trying to make the Giant Crusher and the Axe of Godfrey work... I feel like their moveset is kinda terrible overall when compared to many other weapons, plus the Giant Crusher is probably one of the heaviest (if not, the heaviest directly) weapons in the game, I have the erdtree + Great jar and 32 end to use that weapon + my usual armor with 63 poise. On a side note, I killed malenia on NG+ with dual Giant Crusher and it was comical

Light weapons are imo was more fun to fight malenia with, using quickstep and consumables on her with a Godskin stitcher was awesome, now I’m helping people using a claymore and off-hand curved sword

Try one handed colossal sword + offhand great stars, crouch poke into offhand great stars is a true combo. One-handed gray stars also has a fantastic moveset for roll catching

At around 2:22 you can see the white flash of counter damage, so it apparently does in fact do thrust on it's crouch pokes. I thought it'd be like the Fume UGS in DS3, which did strike damage on it's poke R2, but no, it's poke does deal thrust damage.

So why do these guys not +10 their weapons, or keep them at +24 for basic weapons? I see it all the time, and these stones are not hard to get your hands on within 1-3 playthroughs, so is there a mechanical reason I'm ignorant of here?

The slight boost in AR +10ing a weapon probably isn't worth havig to constantly grab each and every Ancient smithing stone over and over in higher NG cycles.

@@kellmalleus5825 he already has +10 Somber/+25 Regular weapons at that level, not using an Ancient stone has nothing to do with rune level. As I said in my first response, it's likely because going through the game over and over for Ancient smithing stones is tedious.

Again. some spam RoB, others BHS others 3-5 spells that you have to dodge non-stop. You and other experianced PvPers spam "poke them with a long weapon build" with a mix of jump attacks. Your way of playing is better? Your timing is just a lot better than an average player.
