The Ruins of Helghan - Killzone Shadow Fall

For those you don't know what happened to this place, after the death of Scolar Visari back in the end of Killzone 2, in Killzone 3, two Helghast leaders, Admiral Orlock and Jorhan Stahl engaged with feud over position as leader of Helghan Empire. In the middle of Killzone 3, Stahl planned to destroy Earth with his nuclear weapons with irradiated Petrusites, powerful and volatile element, and the remnants of the ISA discovered his plans. Near the end, Stahl killed Orlock, who was recently elected as the leader of Helghan Empire, and prepared to launch his ship that is carrying his weapons to Earth, but not before the remnants of ISA foiled his plans by sending the nuke on Stahl's ship, causing unintended the chain reaction of irradiated Petrusites cover entire planet, and that causes the ruins.

@@kyliestephens4205 I agree. This could be what happen to Earth had Stahl succeeded. Although this could be how the destruction works thanks to the petrusites in lore-wise, I'm not sure if I like the destruction design for this level, it's kind of weird.

I hope new future Killzone game tells us more about life in Helghan before destruction; the culture, clothes, politics, the food, economy, technology, wealth and money, etc.

Man, seeing helghan destroyed like this really was an eye opener. Everyone thought this whole time that helghast were the bad guys but in reality they were just trying to survive. To see your home be a barren wasteland isn't a sight anyone wants to see

@@Bread-nx9fo well from what I remembered, only Earth first for now. but enough to for a time(?) topple out the UCN chain of leadership as those Human helghans would slowly....propagated control over the other far off colonies all over UCN Space. (even if the UCN were Corruptingly deserving to be terracided. fortuantely for now that action from the helghans stopped it). ah, Humanity from the killzone verse and galaxy have achieved such disastrous feats of planetary extinction level WMDs in their further era, huh. first were like global bio-weaponized viruses, then petrusite superweapons that would have wiped out half a continent on Earth and the helghans under Jorhan's orders had Hundreds to Thousands probably more of it prepared solely against Earth command, and now back to a widespread anti-race bio-weapon virus method (it seems) from what was remembered on KZ04:SF not too different at least to the one that Grey was about to unleash early on during in the invasion of planet helghan.

@@Bread-nx9fo The ISA never had the right to invade Helghan. The death of Visari is what led to this - a direct result of the ISA disregarding UCN orders. And to go even further back, that is all the result of the illegal invasion and occupation of Vekta by the UCN years prior.

the ISA/VSA troop holding on to the crazed scientist woman? yes. Unfortunately we didn't had an in-game choice for that one. *meanwhile in their current franchise, at least in some parts you can have some small alternative endings to a mission, etc.*

This game got so much hate from the "fans" when in reality, this is probably the darkest chapter in the history of Killzone, both races want to destroy one another to survive, based on propaganda from their leaders, them or us. making choices that in end, neither side will win, its like their version of a all out Nuclear war, which ironically, this attitude they have towards each other, is what destroyed us, their ancestors, in the first place.

@@Itz_JD7 Sadly, how they structured the way how the 4th main sequel was executed. narrative surface story, even some on how they were trying to show the killzone Lore to Majority of casual attentions, etc. And *the non-existent 'stealth' methods in Gameplay despite Darned Lucas supposed to be a quiet 'shadow marshal'.*
