I dressed well, and the kids responded well and the teacher appreaciated it as she spent time that morning ensuring she set the example. It's all about contaxt and being comfortable in your own skin - the clothing is just a reflection people see.

Agree with most of what you said sir. I always wear OTCs with trousers for work. I also try to maintain that connection between the cuff of pants and my shoes by selecting a color sock that coordinates well with my pants -- it doesn't have to be the same color as sometimes a lighter/darker tone can provide a subtle contrast.

I just think your videos would benefit from being less off the cuff and more scripted to tidy up the presentation and flow. The Parity Check It’s 2020 and nothing been changed in the rules about wearing the right socks. You can wear any bright colour but put into consideration the colour of your suit or the colour of your trouser. Personally, I prefer to wear socks to match the colour of my trousers.

I PARTLY DISAGREE: 1) Socks matching shoes causes boot leg (peg leg) look--don't do it. 2) Socks same color as trousers is boring and unnecessary; 3) Black is the least useful color of socks (except for formal wear); 4) Any neutral color sock can go with any neutral color trousers, it gives some variety without looking too flashy; 5) You can get by with only two colors of socks for any color of pants: medium grey and light brown/dark tan (if you want a little more variety, add olive drab and medium blue).

You didn't mention about OTC socks vs. regular socks. Regular socks always fall down. Personally, I can't stand my socks falling down during the day, and you never have a problem of flashing skin with OTC socks, and they never looked bunched up at the ankle. They can be a little warmer and perhaps a bit itchy, but it's much better than falling down all the time.

Hmmm, all this is good but I don't like to see skin so I wear over the calf dress socks, more sophisticated too. also have sock garters and use them to hold up shorter socks. You are right most men put no thought into socks, it pays to wear nice socks, that don't droop down, are not as thick as hunting socks too!

No one ever mentions this; if you wear dress slacks or suit pants, especially if they are made from natural fibers you need to pull your pant leg up before sitting. If you don't and just sit your pants will stretch out around the knee from wear. Over time your pant leg will curve and not hang well. One reason why suits always use to come with two pair of pants. This exposes your socks and therefore socks should be an important part of your wardrobe. I like the look of exposed socks and always wear over the calf socks or socks with sock garters so my bare legs don't show...BIG NO NO!

Unless you're going to a funeral I would avoid black socks with a suit or a jacket. Trying to match to much could make you loose the effortless elegance and make your appearance to strict. Also never match your bow tie or tie with your pocket square
