I disagree Johnny Depp has not had 20 years of failure. Each film he is so effective that you see who he is portraying. He has the power to feel the character he is. He has the power to physically feel the emotions of the moment. Joy of Bennie and June. The tears of What's eating Gilbert Grape. The intensity of From Hell. All the film's have brought delight joy and at times, necessary escape. No, absolutely not 20 years of failure. Thank you for the 20 years of an experience that is named Johnny Depp

I love how all the people that asked him questions were so nervous and their voices were shaky but he never laughed or made them feel uncomfortable. This only shows that he has a very kind and sweet heart and personality and it is so sad to know that that psychopath took advantage of him and hurt him like that.

An actor of Johnny's status taking time out to do essentially a roundtable discussion about the creative process around filmmaking at a college speaks to his humbleness. As he discusses Rum Diaries and his dear friend Hunter Thompson it really is very sad that his co-star ended up ultimately breaking his heart and destroying his career. When he offered to send a hat to the young woman toward the end...he hugged her, kissed her hand, etc. That was a man of great appreciation for the ability to be generous.

Let the fans tell who has the hotness and chemistry to play the parts previously played by Johnny and her who shall not be named.. To give the new version of the movie the best possible chance to break records at the box office because of the cast already being popular with Johnny fans... What better way to tell Disney and Amber and all the freeloaders how to get stuffed. Because of Amber nobody wants to watch current rum diaries. I love JD but I can't watch anything amber. Depp’s amazing reply at 17:10-18:36 (esp. 17:50-18:36) is prescient of his elegant “fighting back” as a survivor (no longer victim, hopefully) of DV, from himself above all (as he has said). Bruce Robinson may be talented as a director but heck he comes across as an unpleasant individual. Thank goodness for Johnny, who may share some of the same values but is not only coherent, respectful of his audience, the subject matter at hand and the people around him. Johnny Depp is so humble, intelligent and with a sense of who and what he is, every interview I see with him makes me admire and yes love him more. The great shame is that he cast that evil example of a human being in TRD who has gone on to ruin his reputation, career and, for now, life. My great hope is that win or loose the court cases the evidence will speak for itself. Johnny Depp is not a violent man, he has a temper as much as we all do and will slam a kitchen cabinet door or pour a drink to drown his woes. He was the victim, and if you doubt this check the tape recordings and the court evidence. The truth will prevail and this interview shows him in a very good light.
@Kayte-tv2cw3 жыл бұрын
I totally agree. I read that Bruce Robinson had been sober for over 6 years before doing The Rum Diary. He started drinking again while on the project. Evidently, there was a lot of drinking taking place during filming, in large part due to the extremely high temperatures on location. Robinson actually blamed Johnny Depp for his relapse into drinking, saying that after the film wrapped, and he was no longer in Johnny’s presence, he quit drinking again. I say Robinson is an a**hole…

he's such a nice guy, always trying to make people feel good, but now he is in trouble and everyone seem to be turning their back just bc he said some stupid thing trying to make people laugh. you people never said something stupid and later regretted?? i did and i can't judge him for that. and i'm pretty sure that those so caled humans who laughed went home and turned their back too just bc everyone did so and they thought it's smart or something

He is still chaneling Hunter through his character in fear and loathing, even using Hunters voice sometimes.
@cepheusreficulmai27816 жыл бұрын
He channeled Hunter while he was alive, then mixed it with the entity he channeled to become Jack sparrow. Johnny is literally a mix of Jack and Hunter now, method acting, AKA channeling, it's all magic kiddies, let's wake people up now! As Above.....

I would never think of Edward Scissorhands as a failure. People wanting to make huge money might have thought that at the time. But they were wrong. It was a great thing. I was so glad to hear later in the interview, how Johnny felt about it. It is one of my very favorite things.

Love the way he uses words, he really has a saying things like schooled him, he uses that word in the trial aswell, to the lawyer when he was pissing him off lol That poor Guy in the audience, he didn't know what to do or say, it was very lost, was good to hear and see, he just so Johnny Depp displays his gentle funny humour side ♥️

Ever Beautiful and captivating Johnny!! ♥️ He does not yet have the “SLIM” (changed to “SCAM”) tattoo on his right hand fingers, nor the full-body of AH tattoo on his right upper arm (edit to add this tattoo) nor the “Res Ipso Loquitur” tattoo on his chest in this video. He is wearing the engagement ring he had given AH that was too big for her (so he bought her another one). How deeply, desperately I wish he would have never ever met his abuser, AH. May he continue healing and living his best, happy, successful life. God be with you and bless you, Johnny! We, all your relatives, always have your back, support you, and we love you deeply forever!! ♥️💫🙏🌹💖😘
