The thing that pissed me off the most about Steve is that it took Laura wanting Brenda to get injured for him to realize she crazy and not how their relationship started. Steve cheats on his gf and slept w/Laura then when Steve ghost her and don't want to talk to her so she cries rape and was going to say he raped her to the whole campus at the take back the night rally only to stop after Kelly told how she was almost SA and how Steve was one of her friends that saved her that night at the rally but also talk about how their also she had slept w/guys that she regret it sleeping w/after but it was still consenting and not rape . If Kelly didn't do that Laura would have destroyed his life. But Steve chose to believe and side w/her someone he known for a few month who tried to hurt him in the past over someone who he known for 4 years who is part of his friend group and is his best friend sister.

I disagree, I don’t believe the writers had it in for her. This story line shows her in nothing but a sympathetic light. It shows how Dylan believed her when no one else did. It showed once again that Kelly is a disloyal tramp. And it showed that Brandon is an idiot. Brenda? Slept with her director? Please. That’s something Kelly would do.

Donna and Andrea did not believe the rumours for one second. Steve was the one that believed it, made a big deal about it and then made Kelly think that it could be true. I don't understand why the general consencus for 30 years has been that her friends were terrible human beings for believing it, when they didn't. They just wanted her to know that these rumours were going on, then Brenda had a fit and stormed out of Andrea's.
