That's something we all have to live with. Every religion has its lies to influence others. Religion has always been used to bind people to the higher powers; religion has always been highly political. But we, each one of us, as unique beings with a conscious, have something no one can take away from us, which is our own ability to dream. In our dreams we can create our own spirituality, and who's to say we are right or wrong if they cannot see the beautiful, or awful, things we create in our own inner worlds? I think the time has come for us to embrace spiritualities rather than religions. Free ourselves from religious laws, rules, canons others created to bind people to their own dreams. Many of us are living the dreams of others and making war and killing each other because of the dreams of others. We should start living our own dreams, our own perceptions of the divine. That's the only way to be in contact with the divine, not through the ways others have impose us.

Thanks Arith another great interpretation. I hope that people learning Runes are making notes to help in their study. I have received the email and will respond later as I am occupied this afternoon but will explain all. I will also relate to you a reading that I have recently done for myself, in which Isa appears. Incidentally I used to know a woman calles Isa and she really fits that description, fortunately she is no longer in my circle.

this rune is symbolic of the “i am” the creator with in, the need for change, boundaries, clarity, movement, unsticking self, attunement to the life force energy within the spine and chakras, alignment with desire, focus, birthing the new. When ice melts it creates EZ water, EZ water is the 4th phase of water that heals every cell. this rune holds the truth of water and it’s magical properties.

I disagree. Isa is a very powerful and necessary rune. Just after every day there is night, people need to embrace such down times, Isa represents. After each breath in, there is a breath out. When you stretch the bow, you also need to release! It goes very well with Kenaz, on which base all the runes hath been made. Try meditating on Ehwaz; Laguz; Uruz; Reito; Isa; Tiwaz; Odal; Yera; Ash; Kenaz = Eluritoja(h) Liveritualstream in Estonian. Hagalaz; Nautiz and Isa are not menacing at all, just misunderstood. You cannot understand yourself, if you cannot suffer your own darkness. How else are you gonna move on to discover your light?
