It is one of those movies that a remake could do well if updated for today. Holding closer to the book but instead of calling in that you spotted one you would just take a pic and tag them and little changes like that. Not that it needs to be improved and likely wouldn't be but, in some ways, I would love to see a remake of They Live as well, but not sure if anyone could do it justice.

The two have an oddly similar premise. I agree with you though, keep the story in line with the book and it could be awesome

You should check out The Prize of Peril 1983. It's based on a short story that came before the Running Man. There is even a TV version called Das Millionenspiel.

I pretty much agree with everything you said here, J. I love the book and the original film for different reasons, and I think an adap closer to the source is a great idea. We'll just have to see how it goes, ya? Nice work in the vid!
