Hitchhiking is not common in China. Because you are a foreigner, people think you need help. Normally, I wouldn't let anyone in my car. Because China's traffic law stipulates that once a traffic accident occurs, you will be responsible for who is sitting in your car, regardless of whether you collect money or not.Many drivers only buy the minimum amount of insurance, and if an accident occurs, the compensation will not be enough to cover the expenses of others. So I won't cause trouble for myself, and I won't take other people's rides for a ride.

agree.I would never have a stranger in my car, for that and my own safety😂. If someone really needs help,i'd rather get a taxi for him and pay for him than have him in my car. if there's no taxi,i will call uncle police to help him out.

For some Westerners, the day a Muslim lives is the day that keeps them up at night. To achieve their millennium goals, they need to foment conflict between Muslims and China. Spreading rumors about religious persecution in Xinjiang is the best tool they can use. Once you understand why these people ignore what is happening in Gaza, you immediately understand why they want to create a narrative that is not happening in Xinjiang.

Here’s an English version you can send to your friend about the local food recommendations in Aksu, Xinjiang: --- If you're visiting Aksu, Xinjiang, here are some must-try local dishes that will give you a true taste of the region's unique food culture: 1. **Whole Roasted Lamb**: This is one of the signature dishes of Xinjiang. The lamb is marinated and roasted whole over an open fire or charcoal. The skin is crispy while the meat is tender and juicy. The aroma of the lamb combined with cumin and other spices makes it a flavorful and unforgettable meal, perfect for sharing with friends or family. 2. **Fried Noodles with Lamb (Guo You Rou Ban Mian)**: A classic Xinjiang noodle dish where lamb is fried until golden and crispy, then mixed with hand-pulled noodles. The dish is often served with stir-fried vegetables like tomatoes, onions, and peppers. The noodles are chewy, and the lamb is rich and flavorful-perfect for anyone who enjoys hearty, savory food. 3. **Stuffed Lamb Stomach (Du Bao Rou)**: This is a traditional Xinjiang dish where lamb or beef is stuffed into a lamb’s stomach and then steamed or slow-cooked. The result is a soft, tender dish with rich flavors, showcasing the creative use of ingredients and cooking techniques unique to the region. 4. **Clay Pot Meat (Gang Zi Rou)**: This dish involves slow-cooking lamb or beef in a clay pot until the meat becomes incredibly tender and falls apart. The rich flavors from the long cooking process make it a comforting and hearty meal, usually served with naan bread or rice. 5. **Lung with Noodles (Mian Fei)**: This dish is a unique local creation made with lamb lung and wheat gluten. The lung is boiled and then stir-fried with the gluten, and it's usually topped with a spicy, flavorful sauce. The combination of the crispy lung and chewy gluten makes for a distinct and bold-tasting dish, perfect for adventurous eaters. 6. **Samsa (Baked Meat Pastry)**: These are meat-filled pastries, usually stuffed with lamb or beef, onions, and spices, then baked in a clay oven. The pastry is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, making it a popular snack or light meal. 7. **Big Plate Chicken (Da Pan Ji)**: A large, spicy chicken stew cooked with potatoes, green peppers, and other vegetables in a savory sauce. It is often served with wide flat noodles. The dish is bold in flavor, and the large portion makes it perfect for sharing. 8. **Xinjiang Fruits**: Aksu is famous for its sweet and delicious fruits, especially grapes and apples. The region’s dry climate produces fruits that are incredibly sweet, so be sure to try the seasonal offerings when you're there. 9. **Xinjiang Yogurt**: This traditional yogurt is rich and creamy, often served slightly sour. It's a refreshing and healthy side dish that pairs well with the richer, heavier meat dishes. 10. **Milk Tea (Nai Cha)**: Xinjiang milk tea is a comforting blend of black tea, milk, and sometimes salt. It’s commonly enjoyed by the locals as a warming drink and is a perfect accompaniment to any meal. The flavors are mild, slightly salty, and very different from sweet milk teas you might find elsewhere. These dishes will not only give you a taste of the local cuisine but also a deeper appreciation for the diverse food culture in Xinjiang. Enjoy your culinary adventure in Aksu! --- This version introduces your friend to a broad variety of local foods, giving them a well-rounded experience of Aksu’s unique flavors!

I visited Hainan to see her, my god, the Police followed me everywhere for 7 days, often badly undercover but they did. They even hired the room next to mine in the hotel, that dampened the obvious. When I left, they took her to the Police station and grilled her for 8 hours. She told me they had videoed everything, pictures on the wall etc. They told her it was for my protection and they didn't want an incident. Scary but true. China is really safe, the people fantastic and the food is awesome. Big brother is everywhere. People are encouraged to report seeing you, hence Police will check. Enjoy.

I, a Chinese, don't dare to travel like this in Xinjiang. Bruh, you may not know the horror of Xinjiang highways. Many people were attacked by wolves at night when they were camping beside the Xinjiang highways. There are a lot of wild animals in Xinjiang, many are wolves. Bruh should choose a safer way. This is true!

It is rare to see foreigners in Xinjiang. The identities of foreigners are also sensitive in Xinjiang, because there have always been foreigners who went to Xinjiang to shoot some bad videos for Western media. Therefore, the police will often check your passport and ask where you are from and where you are going. They need to know your purpose and itinerary information. But you don’t need to worry about anything. The police are very friendly. You just need to tell the truth that you are here for tourism.

@@kolisin5368 Mostly positive feedback, because this content creator didn’t deliberately smear China like many Western media outlets (especially BBC, which hired actors to play persecuted Xinjiang locals). However, some people think he shouldn't be freeloading rides, food, and drinks every day, even though it was offered by others. Many people in the comments on Chinese TikTok still believe he should carry some cash to show his appreciation.

@@kolisin5368 Well, most of us like it. People feel that this kind of video should be seen more often in the West, which helps to break down prejudice. But on the other hand, some of the sentences he used and the questions he asked were politically inappropriate, most people thought it was just that foreigners didn't understand, but others thought that his smiling face hid hostility, with the same bias as the Western media.

It is even more coincidental that based on what I have heard from the video, the fellow whose last name is Lin actually comes from QuanZhou, 泉州 in Chinese, where is one of the starting points of the Maritime Silk Road. It is meant to be!
@SRoy-jx8my
@SRoy-jx8my 2 күн бұрын
The "Silk Road" did NOT go to Rome!! According to Wikipedia map, it ended in modern-day Iraq. This is also what Wikipedia says: "The use of the term 'Silk Road' is not without its detractors. For instance, Warwick Ball contends that the maritime spice trade with India and Arabia was far more consequential for the economy of the Roman Empire than the silk trade with China, which at sea was conducted mostly through India and on land was handled by numerous intermediaries such as the Sogdians. Going as far as to call the whole thing a "myth" of modern academia, Ball argues that there was no coherent overland trade system and no free movement of goods from East Asia to the West until the period of the Mongol Empire. He notes that traditional authors discussing east-west trade such as Marco Polo and Edward Gibbon never labelled any route a "silk" one in particular.[18] William Dalrymple concurs and refers to the India-Rome route as the "Golden Road"." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silk_Road
