I don't think most people are saying the Chinese people are bad. But the government is. Anyone who thinks the PRC is benevolent is deluded.

Hi Mike. I’ve loved watching your videos but as a die hard bike fan, please please please do not stand up, going downhill on what is essentially a gravel road, low centre of gravity is what you’re wanting man or as what happened, the front wheel will slide out on uneven ground but I loved to see you right back on it. Keep up the cool videos man, it’s been a real eye opener for me personally.

There's a conflation happening here with this intro... I don't think anyone who is honest criticizes China's people. They are known for being humble, honorable, and having high morals. It's the GOVERNMENT that gets criticized. The government that heavily censors media and internet content from its great people (among a slew of other things).

If people had their way, every inch of HK would be plastered with concrete and skyscrapers back to back, all super-mini-apartment towers 50 levels worth 10 million USD each. Then they would fill up Victoria Harbour with concrete and skyscrapers, all with super-mini-apartments, too. This is how the exponential function works. Double the land, it will be filled up with skyscrapers the next day. Living hell. Stop reproducing, stop immigration, maybe think about how you can put 1 million people in 1 square mile. You can't.

When you asked for Mr Chen's name (名字/Min Zi),you pronounced it a bit like Min Zu (民族, Ethnicity), so he replied Han Zu (汉族, meaning Han Chinese).

All the hate towards China is actually towards the government and not the people. Some people can't separate the two but it's a pretty common experience for people to go to these "enemy" countries and find that the actual people there are wonderful. Vietnam, Russia, China, Iran, etc. Typically you will find lots of great people in these places that politics try to cover up.

Who hates china? Can you tell me. Many people say indian people but we never knew that.

@@Aadarsh__purush I mean it's not a specific person there's just a general negativity towards cold war enemies and political rivals.

@@Aadarsh__purush No I am American. But I do in general. From my perspective there is a general negative stigma towards India I believe due to the prevalence of scammers. However the few Indians I have interacted with directly were as coworkers and they were great. Very smart and kind members of the team.

What some people fail to realise is there is always two sides of a story. Drinking up propaganda from either side without proper research is always an unwise move (just use ground news lol)

What a beautifully made video! Thank you for documenting your journey, Mike. Your interactions with Mr. Chen was quite amusing, as lots of things were lost in translation lol. In the beginning when you thought you were asking him his name (MingZi), he understood it as you asking his ethnicity (MinZu), which is how you got HanZu (the Han ethnic group) :)
