Cold war espionage thriller, adapted for radio. Starring Tom Baker.
An English book publisher (Baker) is approached by a mysterious woman wielding a bulky manuscript, at a book fair behind the Iron Curtain, and asked to keep a promise he had made to publish a volume of memoirs written by a Soviet scientist. But the memoirs are of more than passing interest to British military intelligence, as they seem to contain clues to the top secret workings of a nuclear weapons system.

I enjoyed this series, but kept seeing the film faces. It's okay, but it has triggered me to go back to the movie.

I too enjoyed this dramatisation and luckily have not seen the film so was not burdened by cinematic images. Is the film true to the book ? worth watching ?
