Another point in AOE3's favor is how the units get ragdolled when killed by a canon. Especially with the Bombards. They go fucking FLYING.

I hope they don’t nerf this. It’s a cool feature. And honestly you might say it’s OP to have an imperial bombard shipment, but it’s still a weaker shipment then ottoman 2 great bombards is, and it’s arguably weaker than 2 heavy cannons which tsar cannons used to be called

@@lionheart9015 I remember in legacy AOE3 being disappointed in the Tsar cannon shipment because the shipment icon was actually that of a bombard, and the Russian home city had the Tsar cannon model as a decoration, but u sent it in game it was just regular heavy cannons. Love this new addition and it is hilarious seeing age 2 units go flying lol

What better way to demonstrate the Tsar cannon than against the Ottomans, the civ they 'borrowed' it from? Also, Akan in the South West, they have an (expensive) tech that ships you a gold mine, could have helped you with your recource problem

Why the cannons shoot at such long distance?

It's the cannons auto lock feature, a lot of other units have it as well. Once the cannon auto locks it will fire as long as you still have line of sight, thats why I kept my other units chasing so the cannons would eventually fire.

i never understand these games, what if the other guy decides to just rush you while your doing this? every time i try to FI instead of making units i get rushed and lose. is it just luck?

Yeah it's a gamble sometimes, but if your scouting is good it can help you a lot!

No it's not luck. If you see I scouted his tc and the middle map, I saw he shipped 700 gold and saw no military building, therefore I knew I could be greedy. If I saw a barracks for example I would have adapted my build, made a block house, ship units etc. It's all about how well you scout.
