Lyptsi is a village in a valley surrounded by heights. Russia should stay on the ridge above it and pound away. The utility of this action in the north is Russia forced the Ukrainians to pull experienced units from places where they were well dug in their holes and got them to come fight here with no advantages. Use the firepower advantage until they dig in well, then leave a covering force to harass & defend and move elsewhere to repeat the process.

We also need to take into account that the Western ukrainians lose a lot of artillery and artillery troops in the process and having good accurate gunners takes time and experience which Russian attrition is supposed to deny.

It's all downhill for western Ukrainians from now on. They're doomed.

It's true though that sound on the water surface dissapears faster. Why are the Russians leaving fighter jets within range of missiles from Odessa …. It’s not as if these fighters can’t be kept 200 miles from attack. 200 miles in a fighter jet is 20 minutes extra flying. Who is making these basic mistakes for goodness sake.

​@@AlphaBravoCheeseCakenot if you plan correctly. You need jets only to hit fortifications of defending enemy. You do not need them for defending your armies but for attacking enemy fortifications with glide bombs 500-1500kg.

@@Filip-dg6uk Not 100% true. The Yanks always use air support for their troops. They don't know how to fight, so they carpet bomb the area so it is easier for the troops to get the upper hand.

The whole jet issue is actually very strange. First of all why MiG 31??!! 2nd why Fighter Bomber did not confirm but just sound angry. We only have a picture as confirmation. This is all very suspecious. We can only be sure of strikes as these are on video.
