Love this. So glad you are a "gold girl". I made my living doing decorative painting for 10 years. I found that putting a layer of orange, under the red, really helped with the transparency of the red paint. Red is one of the hardest colors to work with

Thank you for showing how ,if one technique does not give the effect you want, you back up and do another . The finished piece is stunning( in the best possible sense). Which I did not figure for straight red. Wax a must. Even the pupper is calmed and mellow. And ,as usual,the music and filming is part of the lesson and to be celebrated .
