I look at some of the comments and how everyone has an opinion about the Sabbath day and the annual Feasts of the Lord. It's God's laws and statutes and his judgments that he commanded us to do so God is not the author of confusion. No matter what anyone says, God is in control and always right and has the final answer! Just trust God and his words.

@Tony Hodge in Romans 14 and Hosea 12 I didn't find anything about the Sabbath and Amos 8 is not the context of taking the Sabbath away, it was about God's rebuke to those who trample the needy. Colossians 2 says "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ." The word "Sabbath" means rest, this was not talking about the Seventh-Day Sabbath, it was talking about the shadows that pointed to Christ in the Mosaic law that contained annual sabbaths and monthly sabbaths. Hebrews 4 states "For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:" these verses remembers creation, when the Seventh-Day Sabbath was instituted and gives us knowledge of the danger of breaking it: unbelief because you neglect your personal relationship with the Creator. Jesus said in Luke 16:17 "And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail." The 10 commandments written by God with His own finger are eternal and unchangeable, the Sabbath is a sign of God's authority and it is important to keep it because in the last days the world will be forced by law to accept a counterfeit of this Seal of God, but that is actually a mark of authority of the Roman Catholic Church, and that will lead to the Mark of the Beast.

@Tony Hodge in Hosea 2 shows words of rebuke by God to those who worshipped the pagan sun god Baal. As long as they didn't turn away from evil, God wouldn't accept their prayers and worship on feast days because they still had a rebellious character and wouldn't give all of their hearts to God. @Tony Hodge you are referring to Galatians 4:10 ("Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years."). Paul was not talking to Sabbath keepers, he was taking to the Galatians who had pagan idols as we can see few verses before ("Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods. But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?"). The observing of times is mentioned also in Deuteronomy 18:10-12 ("There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD"). Examples of observers of times and divination users are fortune tellers and astrologers, but Sabbath keeping is one of the 10 eternal commandments.

@@tony1685 You do not understand the law of God. When Jesus fulfilled the carnal laws, He fulfilled them on a spiritual level, meaning the level of Love. Which the two commandments love God and your neighbour cover. Yet we can only love perfectly when we are born again of His Spirit and He dwells in us. That is why it says on these two hang all the law and the prophets. That is why there is no law against such people who DO the law of love perfectly There no longer is ANY law against such people who DO the law of God (the law of love) perfectly. Because when we are born again and God dwells in us, we have His HOLY fruit, EVERY DAY, not just Saturday or Sunday. For you do not say to a holy wo/man do not be unholy.

​@@tony1685 When we do the law of God, which is the law of Love, we no longer covet, murder, or commit adultery, disrespect parents/people, lie, steal nor break the sabbath nor forget the sabbath, because we are HOLY EVERY day. We REMEBER the sabbth every Day for the Lord is the sabbath and He lives within us. And by HIS power IN us we are HOLY/loving every day of the week, not just saturdays or sundays. You must be born again to be able to do the sabbath perfectly. Once you are born again you will do the sabbath every day. For you are HOLY every day. And once you are born again you will do the 10 commandments every day for you are holy every day. Those who are not born of the Spirit of God are still under the law for the law is for the disobedient only. Hence they will also be judged by the law.

You go to the Church on weekends or weekdays, if you don't love God wholeheartedly (and don't have Holy spirit in you) you can't make it to heaven as simple as that. ( In James 2:10 who ever breaks one commandment, is GUILTY of all). Just imagine you went on Saturday Sabbath keeping Church or Sunday, and you come home and behind close doors you break one of God's commandments. Do you think you are a Sabbath keeper? I don't think so! (Matthew 7:13-14 Enter through the narrow gate. Wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it). PS-- JESUS CHRIST IS THE LORD OF THE SABBATH. ( You go to the Church on Saturday or Sunday , it wouldn't make any difference, because God knows what people does behind close doors behind His back. GOD SEES HEART AND MIND AND HE KNOWS WHO LOVES HIM SINCERELY AND WHO ARE PRETENDERS. Many counterfeit Christians goes to the Church but don't have the love for God. The Disciples of Jesus revered more the Lord's Day than the Sabbath. Yes, Paul usually went to synagogues on Sabbath to reason and argue with the Pharisees and other people there. But the disciples gather together on Sundays to break bread and preach. That's in the book of Acts. And in other epistles of Paul.

We need to set the example as believers before those who may not be walking in all of God's counsel. The Sabbath in and of itself cannot save a soul, so we need to ever make our faith about the Author & Finisher of our faith. Christ. Keep following Him & serving Him if not already. Keep obeying & in time God will lead others to deeper truth of His word. Never make the Sabbath a Salvatori issue. Remember that the Pharisees had God's word also!

In Christ we are not required to follow the Sabbaths, as we have entered His Sabbath.Though I've come to the conclusion that if I am going to observe certain days as holy than I choose to observe the days that are appointed by God as Holy Days. The Spring and fall Feasts are a beautiful metaphor for His plan of Redemption, as is the 7th day Sabbath. The relevance of these Holy Days are apparent all throughout the scriptures. I see no clear biblical evidence or relevance for our current cultural holy days. Many are based on reverence of saints, like St Patrick's, St Valentine's, etc., and I'll pass on that.

All Jews (believers and unbelievers in Jesus) during the transition period (AD 30 -- AD 70) when the new man of the Spirit (headed up by Jesus) was BRINGING to a FINAL END the STANDING BEFORE GOD of the OLD MAN according to the FLESH, continued to observe every detail of the Law of Moses, including the Sabbath. All continued to keep the laws right up until the end --> "the Last Day" in AD 70, when ALL that was written in the Law (and Prophets) was finally fulilled by Jesus as the Christ, just as he had predicted (Matt 5:17ff). The Last Day is when the Law of Moses finally vanished (it was already vanishing during the transition) and is when the nation of Ancient Israel CEASED to have any standing before God under covenant creation. Those (the remnant of Jews) who escaped the Destruction of Jerusalem became just like all other nations in their standing before God (namely, non-covenantal). It's important to understand that throughout the transition period Jewish believers (disciples of Jesus) observed the letter of the law, but NOT for salvation, for they were SET FREE from sin and death by the righteousness and life of Jesus, SET FREE by "the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus"; thus the "old way of serving God by the written law" (old covenant) which brought condemnation, was ended and transcended by the "new way of the Spirit" which brought "no condemnation" (Romans 7:4-6; 8:1-3). There are no people living today who can possibly be under the Ancient Law of Moses. That law is history. Those calling themselves 'Christians', however, ignore these facts of history and deceive themselves that THEY are the audience of the Bible, when they are NOT! Christians are neo-pagans who post AD 70 made themselves out to be the audience of the Jewish Bible. These adopted the Law of Moses and superimposed it upon themselves. In so doing they effectively dug up the old man of sin and death covenant identity which Jesus put to death and buried through his Cross (AD 30). And Christians have been running around with this corpse all the days of their pitiful lives ever since--a corpse whose identity of sin and death God wants nothing to do with (2Cor 5:16, Rom 3:21ff). These pagans then added a whole boat-load of pagan traditions and then made the whole lot official at various Councils along the way. Time to cast off those corpses!

This guy never read quotes from the early church fathers. Chapter 15 in Acts settles circumcision and keeping the law of moses. It was settled that the gentiles entering the church should not have as Paul said, a yoke upon them that even the Jews could not bear. There is a lot of early church father writings that show they were not keeping the sabbath. It was Pauls custom to go to the synogog on sabbath because that is where he would find the jews.

Ahh... "The Jews"... Once you accept Yeshua as Messiah you are "Grafted IN" to Israel. (Romans 11) And you are no longer a foreigner, of the nations or a gentile, but a citizen of Israel. (Ephesians 2:19 and 1 Corinthians 12:2) There is NO SUCH THING as a Jewish or Gentile "Christian". (Galatians 3:28) You will note, ALL of these verses were from Paul's Letters... Thinking you are still a gentile is one of the things that has caused so much confusion and so many false teachings in "the church"... If you are still a gentile, then you have NO PLACE in any of the Covenants or the Blessings of Israel. (Jeremiah 31:31-34) Israel kept the Sabbath... Also, the Yoke that was hard to bear were the Halakhah of Judaism... GOD's Word tells us HIS Laws are Laws of Liberty... (James 1:25, James 2:12, Psalm 119:45) There are a lot of "early church fathers" who claim that Yeshua the Messiah was not divine also... This is why we are to read and trust what the Bible tells us instead of listening to "church fathers"...

I find it odd, and a bit misleading, that one would appeal to the early Christians, while ignoring their written witness. While I agree Scripture contains all that is necessary for salvation, it gives an incomplete picture of the early church and its practices outside Jerusalem. The Church Fathers, many of whom knew and studied directly with one of the Apostles, wrote prolifically, and those writings are available to us today. The word rest (sabbath) was referring to Christ- KEEP CHRIST! Baptist churches worship on Sunday because that’s the day Jesus was resurrected. Throughout the book of acts you see the new church worshiping on the first day of the week- Sunday Paul preached in the synagogues because he wanted to win unbelieving Jews to Christ. Jesus fulfilled the law.

Our four Gospel accounts were most likely not completed until late in the first century, and most certainly did not exist as a "New Testament" book. He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. Hello Andy. The presenter stated that the book of Hebrews was written more than 30 years after the New Testament Church began, or in other words, 30 years after the events of Acts 2 occurred (which we believe occurred in A.D. 31). Many scholars place the book of Hebrews between A.D. 64-67. He was not making a statement about the dating of the book of Hebrews in comparison to when the four Gospel accounts were written.
