As a Seventh-Day Adventist this is eye opening to come to the realization of how much Western Christianity has forgotten and misled. I've recently become very admiring of Eastern Orthodoxy and find it more and more convincing of the truth.

I am a Seventh-Day Adventist Christian, and I just finished reading the book "Truth Triumphant" (by Benjamin Wilkinson) which details the history of the church of the East (Orthodox Christianity). It is amazing that you preserved the precious truths, such as the 7th day Sabbath, held by the ancient apostles and kept throughout the dark ages under Papal supremacy until finally being handing to us today. I was very impressed learning about this and am very thankful for the contributions that your church has made to the world during those long centuries.

Do you have a copy of this email you were reading from? And a copy of all your sources that you were reading from? My fiancé’s family are seventh day Adventists and I would love to teach them and show them how important and holy the 7th day sabbath is to us orthodox Christians.

Joachim thank you for your great work...your faith in the Greek Orthodox Church is awesome I look forward to more Jewish people waking up to the fact that the New Testament and the Orthodox Church is their true inheritance it is their true Israel and the Head of this church is our Lord Jesus. Do i have to not work on the Sabbath day? Can i consume things such as movies and videogames? Can i do homework on Saturday? Has it been fulfilled by Jesus?
@joachimjustinmorgan4851

@@ChristianKnight-1054 do you live in ancient Israel? Did you inherit land in Israel as part of your ancestral Israeli tribe? Do you live in a community of people in the land of Israel that are following those commandments in order to prevent the curses found in the Torah from coming upon you? I’m not just asking those questions to be silly, but if the answer to those questions is no; then you are not at all in the same category of people that those people in the Torah find themselves. So you would need the church that Christ founded in order to see how to follow Christs commandments. Christs commandments are given to the community, not to the individual, so you need that community to participate in the Church. I can make another video on this topic soon, but if you’re attempting to follow the law, especially according to the ways that the Rabbis that rejected Christ interpret the law, then it’s given with the promise of land, and being part of a community of people in that land. So more than likely you’re already way off the target. Yes, Christ fulfilled all things. On the cross He says, “it is finished,” meaning that the work of creation was complete. The sabbath (Saturday), and the Lords day (Sunday) when we (Orthodox) Christian’s gather for worship are two separate days. In Acts 20:7, there is a reference to the early Christians gathering on the first day of the week (Sunday) to break bread, which suggests that Sunday was becoming a regular day for Christian worship. Similarly, in 1 Corinthians 16:2, Paul advises the church in Corinth to set aside a collection on the first day of the week. While Sunday worship became more formalized in later centuries, these New Testament references indicate that the practice of meeting on Sundays started very early in Christian history. So, Orthodox Christina’s commemorate many Old Testament saints and readings on the Sabbath (Friday sundown until Saturday sundown), we do not interpret the sabbath according to the teachings of the heretical Rabbis that reject the king of glory, nor do we meet For worship on the sabbath.

St Ignatius in his epistle to the magnesians chapter 9 confirms a distinction between the Sabbath and the Lord's Day. Which implies that Sunday was the main day of worship for the early church, not the Sabbath/Saturday. In this very epistle he warns against judaizing

Great video brother, I was reading about the divine liturgy and was blown away by all the things that are said and done during that time and how our celebration is not just a static event in time and us just "remembering" the Lord's supper, but we are actually participating in this mystery and work of God that has been establish since the beginning, I was reminded of a scripture when learning this and it blew my mind, He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end. I know that nothing [is] better for them than to rejoice, and to do good in their lives, and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor--it [is] the gift of God. I know that whatever God does, It shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, And nothing taken from it. God does [it], that men should fear before Him. That which is has already been, And what is to be has already been; And God requires an account of what is past. [Ecc 3:11-15 NKJV] also, yes Christ was seen by Paul, For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time. [1Co 15:3-8 NKJV] God bless

The Deeper you go, the better it gets. The Orthodox Church does not keep the Sabbath after the manner of the Talmudist Rabbi's though. We do not fast on Sabbath because it is Holy, we commemorate the Fathers on the Sabbath, and as I mention in this video, ever Orthodox country has a word for day 6 (Friday) that means "day of preparation." Παρασκευή (Paraskeví) in Greek is both Friday, and Preparation. Preparation for the Sabbath. We do not keep the Sabbath in a legal sense though and Orthodox Christians are permitted to work if they need to. But it is still given its own special degree of holiness besides the Lord's day or the 8th day. Early fathers viewed the 8th day as a fulfillment of many legal commandments given such as Circumcision or days beyond time. 7th being complete, and 8th being mystically beyond time. So that is what the Divine Liturgy is, a time outside of the time of this world. The entire Divine liturgy is found in Isaiah 7 and leads towards the Eucharist which is the tongs coming to Isaiah's lips in that passage. That's the best place to start is by going to the Orthodox church and attending the Liturgy. Even if the singers are bad, it's still Holy. Probably the singers will be good though. Read the Liturgy. It is it's own experience of the scripture. Rather than studying the scripture, we live and breath it. If you love the scripture I think you'll find a loving home in the Orthodox Church.

@@joachimjustinmorgan4851 Sir I'm a Sabbath keeping christian I grew up in christian household. We observe the Sabbath and knew the preparation day(friday). We make sure that we done our things before the 7th day. We observe the Sabbath as it was the day which God hath done all his works in the creation week and it was written in the tablet of the 10 commandments that we should "Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy". I observe the Sabbath (not legalistic manner ) but with reverence in a way how Jesus did it as my example because I do understand the difference how Pharisees observed the Sabbath which gave more burden but Jesus Rebuke them on how to observe it. We worship on Sabbath and do celebrate in a reverent way it is the day we reconnect to him in spirit and in truth and it's also the day for our family and friends. Im trying my best to observe Gods Commandment as Jesus said in John 14:15 If you love me keep my commandments. I am seeking and would like to learn. I apologize because I do have a lot to share and to ask.

God bless your journey. Christ is Risen. We Orthodox see the Sabbath as very special because that's the day when Christ was in the Tomb, Harrowing Hades, liberating the Righteous. You can see this very graphically in our Ikon of the Holy Resurrection, Christ pulling Adam & Eve out of their tombs! However, the Lord's Day, Kyriaki (Sunday) is the amazing fulfillment of all the prophecies of the Old Testament: Christ, the Word of God, RISEN FROM THE DEAD! The Cosmos will never be the same again!! This is what we participate in every Sunday in Holy Liturgy - we step outside of time, & are actually truly there! Lord Jesus Christ Son of God have mercy on me a sinner. 💖🙏➕

@@joachimjustinmorgan4851 no, we didn't go today. We got to go last week. And we did St Basil's liturgy last year - yes! love it! We are still going in named groups here. Which has been fine! Our priest, Father Nikolay, is going on vacation though. Theophany will be served by a visiting priest from Santa Fe. I love all the prayers for those groups! And that we weekly pray for "those who love us and those who hate us!" When we attended on 9/11 2019 we were so astounded and blessed that we literally prayed for all those Orthodox who died! If your Orthodox Christian and explain you do not work on the Sabbath they say as a retail your Christian like us, and your not Orthodox Jewish, there is a delusional spin by claimed Christians and Management at places like Lowes and Walmart who are ignorant to the fact there is such thing as Orthodox Christianity in the West and if they can respect other Religious people and their observation, then they must accommodate Orthodox Christians right to Holy Orthodox Sabbath.

Yeah, I don’t think any of that is specific to the Antiochain jurisdiction, that’s a more wider practice throughout the Orthodox Church. That might make a good video though on why we have that as a practice. Glad Antiochians are still Orthodox though.

"Thus says The Lord God: You shall not desecrate the Sabbath, the seventh day of the week, which I have commanded you to remember and keep holy. For as I had spoken it to My servant Moses, so it is and shall be, even to this day. And as I had spoken it before the congregation, so shall it be done. Yea, with the blowing of the great trumpet, with lightnings and thunderings, did I declare My Law; before the tribes of Israel, and in the presence of angels, did I put My power on open display. Behold, by My own finger was it engravened upon tablets of stone, and by the power of My spirit is it established within the hearts of the penitent. Yet the churches of men forsake The Law, and the peoples of this world seek to tear down My Commandments! Thus they shall surely die! For transgression of The Law is sin, and the penalty of sin is death. Yet a New Covenant I have sent to you in YahuShua The Messiah, to save you from the penalty of that which you have forsaken. Therefore, you shall live because of Him and set your steps aright, according to that which He upholds and has magnified in Himself, He being the only One who is without sin, having kept every tittle of The Law - blameless. For it is written: It is easier for the heavens and the earth to pass away, than for one tittle of The Law to fail. For the spirit of The Law is shown in The Messiah’s vesture, He being the same One who taught you The Law anew, by His example and by His every word and deed. For The Law is fulfilled in The Messiah; indeed, He is the goal at which the Torah aims. Thus He is The Lord of The Law and of the Sabbath. So then give answer, O churches of men: If He is The Lord of the Sabbath, Having obeyed My every command, Why do you not follow Him?... You say you follow Him and honor Me, Yet most assuredly, I say to you, you shall All be found liars in the Day of Reckoning!... Says The Lord. And you, O church called Roman and Catholic, how We mourn for you! For you have been judged, and shall be left utterly desolate in the Day of The Lord’s Anger! You say you speak for Me and have The Messiah’s authority, yet I tell you, you have trampled upon the grave of The Resurrected One, making His sacrifice of no effect! WOE TO ALL WHO BLASPHEME THE SPIRIT! Throughout your generations you have not ceased from transgressing The Law by your traditions! Even to this day you embrace every foul and contemptible doctrine, reveling in those things I hate! Behold, you pollute the name of The Messiah by all you say and do, as you lead the people astray! O unholy church of adulteries, mother of all fornications and lies, your destruction draws near! You have become Egypt! LET MY PEOPLE GO! Stop desecrating My Sabbaths! The seventh day is the Sabbath, which I had ordained from the beginning! Cease from your heresies, hold your tongue from your blasphemies, turn back from this wicked way you have chosen, AND REPENT, and I may yet have mercy upon you! For I am The Lord, and I DO NOT CHANGE! Therefore heed My words and bow down, O unholy church of men! Hear the Word of The Lord, and be broken in pieces! For The Holy One is coming quickly and will take from you His own; He shall snatch them from your very breast! And no more shall My children receive nourishment from you! No more shall they be held captive under the veil of your deceptions! The light shall be taken from you, and you shall be left all alone, utterly estranged, on account of your unending adulteries and for the multitude of your whoredoms, which you performed in MY NAME! Thus your fate lies with him who is coming, the wicked one who shall lead many into perdition and death. You shall bear him a son, a man who bears the number of his name, his prophet. Yet you will not be alone when desolations come; you and your enemy, Ishmael, shall receive recompense in full. For you both remain children of your father, the devil. Behold, The Mighty and Strong One Shall return and take from the earth His own, and great recompense Shall be poured out on all nations... He shall come in power and great glory, And Judgment shall sit... Yet all who come out from among them, And call upon the name of The Holy One of Israel, In spirit and in truth, shall be delivered... Says The Lord." trumpetcallofgodonline.com/index.php5?title=You_Shall_Not_Desecrate_the_Sabbath
