"Standard Length" meaning to the typical contact point of an existing racquet to be more specific. What do you think about the Saber?

I think I played with that racquet 🎾 in the early 80's

Honestly this is the best thing I’ve ever bought…I almost prefer playing with it. I bought two and we warm up for 10 minutes using it…

Glad you're enjoying yours! I gotta get mine back out.

Hi coach. How does the saber compare to the wooden spoon? In our experience, the spoon doesn't work for volleys
@JeffLewistennis11 ай бұрын
That's interesting. I've used the wooden spoon a while ago but remember my experience. I would think the spoon would be preferred for the volley since the swing isn't imparting as much spin and more linear. In fact the reason I like the saber is it better replicates the outcome of an efficient groundstroke since it has strings. Definitely more arm friendly via the modern materials.

The spoon was great for volleys and was one of my favourite uses of it as it helped me stop swinging on them. That been said the saber is better overall for volleye as you can easily generate the different spins with it and use it for longer

Ah but have you tries the Toalson 320? Have used both and settled for the Toalson: weight and size of head 👌
@JeffLewistennis11 ай бұрын
I actually saw one of those a Play It Again Sports in Tampa! How is the weight and size of head different?
@TheFunctionalTennisPodcast11 ай бұрын
@@JeffLewistennis It has close to a 65 sq in head from what I remember and it's the same length as a full-size racket.....
@JeffLewistennis11 ай бұрын
@@TheFunctionalTennisPodcast yeah seems like it wouldn't demand the same amount of focus and the length wouldn't put the sweet spot in the right place.

Do you think drawing a circle of some sort on my racquet face would work? If I tried to hit the ball there?
@JeffLewistennis10 ай бұрын
It could. Not sure how you would know that you were hitting it. Maybe if you made some kind of stencil that would feel different when the ball didn't hit the hole in the middle 🤔
