You're absolutely right they did an amazing job on this tribute to her it was great to learn all of these things that I didn't know about her or her career.. Honestly I really enjoyed it I'm just sad for her because her death could have been prevented and unfortunately her ignorance really is what got her killed or maybe it was just fear but if she had went to the doctor regularly started eating better and got the medicine she so desperately needed she would have had a lot longer life .. It's really sad because it's tragic I just wonder why she was so scared of them maybe childhood trauma with her parents or they raised her to not believe in doctors and that's why ithappened... I just feel sad for her but what an amazing tribute video..

@@jrnyjrnlHonestly thank you what an amazing tribute that you did for her it was respectful and thoughtful and wonderfully done.. I feel so sad for her because if she had just went to the doctor and stayed on medication she would have lived a lot longer.. I'm on blood pressure medicine I've been on it since I was 31 years old and I'm on cholesterol medication to.. I've been on it about the same time as I have my blood pressure medicine.. I don't use much salt at all and my diet is controlled if she had done any of those things she would have lived a lot longer.. I don't know maybe her parents didn't really believe in doctors and that's why sometimes that happens in families and then their parents are just ignorant especially if they're coming from a different time.. It's just really sad she had so much more to give thank you for this wonderfully and thought-out tribute to her.. I definitely subscribed to your channel to and I think she would have loved this great job..

A friend of mine talked to his mom, letting her know he was flying home to visit her. He came home 3 days later to find her body decomposing in the home. It was in the 90's outside that week during the summer, so it was pretty hot in the home. She didn't like to run the A/C, only fans. She only had 1 window in her bedroom open with a fan in it at the time. Not a pretty scene to see or smell. It was figured she passed in her sleep the night after they spoke. He was extremely shaken by that discovery, and was never the funny, cheerful guy that he was anymore.

So sad. But she was a woman so full of life. I grew up watching her on 'What's Happening?' with my siblings religiously. I was unaware of the amount of roles she had done. That's where she got her break. Norman Lear cast her on "Good Times", and offered her a show, but she went with "What's Happening", which was like a TV version of "Cooley High". She never would discuss her health problems, too bad, there's a chance she could have lived longer.

@@middlefinger1565 I didn't say Lear offered her "What's Happening", I think that was on ABC. I'm pretty sure Lear was CBS. All I said was that he made her an offer for a show, she had moved out to Los Angeles and was becoming an up and coming commodity. She declined and went with Rerun, Rog, and Duane. I think that whole thing fell apart because they all saw how big the show was getting, and asked for more money. It was a while ago. I remember that, the first couple seasons of "Good Times", when James Amos was still on there, and "The Cosby Kids". There was a junkyard through the woods where I lived in Greenbelt, Md, in the early 70's. I didn't have a good understanding of the scale of geography when I was 4 or 5, so I thought everything was part of the DC-Baltimore area, including "Seasame Street", "Cosby Kids", "Chico and the Man", etc. Until I went up to Philadelphia and New York, where my mom's family is (parts of New Jersey now as well), I thought the world was a pretty small place.

When she passed in 2016, many members of the family had no idea she had been sick at all.
