i watched these shows also....that was a golden era for television. Nice to hear other people share the same memories. TV really started to die off in the 1990's when reality shows and game shows took over. No longer did these dream like shows, that were relaxing, being produced in any volume. Now I don't ever watch TV anymore. The plane ...The plane....immortal words for a generation..

I met Herve at the Ontario hospital where he was visiting patients with his dog. I then went to his house in North Hollywood and actor's would hang out. What I remember his publicist was very nice and Herve was always gracious around me. Thanks for telling his story

What an outstanding vlog, Jordan!! Growing up in the seventies, Fantasy Island was a weekly treat. The tragic ending of Herve's life is very sad. He was and still is, in my book, an icon. I also want to note that I appreciate the little nuances in your videos. The beautiful roses, the one with the bee, the extra footage of the house with the bears, etc. It's what sets you apart from all the others. You have a true heart and real kindness. Thanks for being you!! ❤️

One of the things I admire most about you is your humanity and grace. Thanks for telling his story with respect and compassion. You have a true talent for story telling. I was only 14 when the series ended and I never heard what had happened to Hervé. What is sad ending to his life. I’m glad you were able to finish up the blog on a happy note! I remember seeing him in a Builders Emporium back in the late 80's with his bodyguard. A little girl with her mother came up to him and asked for a autograph. He was quite rude with her and said he was shopping and didn't want to be bothered. Me being young and a dick went to the next aisle over and started yelling out "The Plane, The Plane". At this point he lost it and stormed out of the store. Like I said, I was young at the time. Probably in my late teens. Sad story. Rest in Power.....
@scottb.72394 жыл бұрын
It would have been easy for him to give the little girl the autograph ...I'm with you Mr Yorkie ...some times maybe Celebrities are caught at an off moment ...bad day ..sure ...we all have them ..but maybe sometimes they are simply douchebags ...like to think the best though ...especially with the pain issues...the little girl probably watched more Love Boat after that than Ricardo and Tatoo

One of the last times I was in L.A. and staying in Anaheim, I saw an ad on local TV with Herve standing on a little hill next to the tarmac at LAX, pointing at every plane that took off, saying of course “De PLANE! De PLANE!” and at the end he’s totally in the dark, shining a flashlight upwards, saying “De PLANE!” It was so sad. Don’t remember what he was advertising, but I remember feeling extremely sad that a star like him was reduced to doing such crap just to pay the bills. This was probably only a year or two before his suicide. Like I said, so sad…

May your new home be blessed. I missed the very beginning of your live stream the other day so I missed what had happened to Amy other she was being harassed. Somebody on Breck’s live stream mentioned about it. It upset me to tears that she was being bullied. Amy is a sweet thoughtful kind considerate loving person. Shame on the bullies. I recommend the Peter Dinklage and Jamie Dornan movie about Herve and the journalist who last interviewed him. Artistic license was used including Herve’s tragic suicide, but it is extremely well acted. FYI: At the end of your video you show a house with stuffed animals in the front yard (a nice reprieve after the mention of the end of Herve’s life). This could be the COVID-19 ‘activity’ where people place stuffed animals for children ‘to find/look for’ on walks with parents/siblings. In NY State, folks place them in windows (we don’t have all the sunny days that California has!😉). It’s fun to actually ‘find’ them throughout our neighborhoods and everyone gets a little smile when discovering them on their walks and bike rides.
