It's nice to finally see one of these movies live up to its hype. I don't care that it basically riffs on 28 Days Later/The Crazies -- it does so in an entertaining way. I felt the same about the saw scene. I was like "you've not been shy about the splatter and we get to what should be a signature effects sequence and now you go off camera!?!?!!" :p

I'm glad to hear I'm not alone on the saw scene :) I was starting to think I'd become way too desensitized. I was thinking, "This movie is insane. Am I insaner for wanting the saw scene to be the insanest thing I've ever seen?" Still a super fun movie. I'm sure I'll be watching it again.

I am going to have to check this out for sure. I hadn't heard of it until the other day, and have seen quite a bit of buzz about it. Sounds like the kind of movie we need more of these days.

Got to see this at a film festival (Ramaskrik) last year, and seeing it on a big screen was great. This type of movie isn't really my cup of tea, but I see what they did right :)

Cool. I bet it looked great on the big screen. But yeah, this movies certainly isn't for everyone. Gotta be into extreme cinema at least a little to like it much, I'd imagine.

I found this movie SOOOO disturbing. It was really hard to get through. The eye-hole scene.... and the barbed-wire-wrapped-around-the-telephone-pole-on-the-tennis-court scene... are burned into my memory forever. lol.
