We entered an Afghan war and shattered the ideas of pluralism and religious harmony in Lyari and the rest of the county.

Lyari is the heartbeat of Karachi...it represents everything. Many cultures, many religions, many talents, political histories. This video in just 9 1/2 minutes introduces us to this through hitoric pictures and newscuttings, and the voices of activists, journalists and a politician. It will be very interesting to learn how gang wars took hold and destroyed so much of Lyari for so long. It will be interesting to hear the comments of locals about life during gang wars, and have all political parties used Lyari's vote bank or have some parties done good for the lives of Lyari inhabitants. Thank you for sharing.
