The SAINT OTTILIEN Abbey. A holy place in the green nature and with a surprise. (Germany)

Welcome back. The Saint Ottilien Abbey loceated not far away of the Ammersee and at the border to the Allgäu region is with distance an amazing place to see. Especially the big tower of the church which has a wide view to the landscape make the Abbey to an reason to see. Around the church are some other interesting buildings to see. My tour through the Saint Ottilien Abbey:
I visited the Saint Ottilien Abbey on a grew day. According that some members of my family live in this region this place was known for me. At first I visited the church which is also the main building of the Abbey. I had the surprise to took part a holy mass with Benedictine monks on the right and the left side of the altar both some visitors at the rows.
At next I explored step by step to the different building of this monastery. I came on a place with trees and bushes around them. At next I walked to the new and old guest house where the old guest house was a birth station from the end of the world war second on.
As I was looking to some births in the cage a mounk was coming with some people. My next stop was the intern restaurant which give the guests an opportunity to eat outside as well but the weather was to bad for to eat outside.
Also a book shop was at this areal with an high selection of book from the spiritually side or from famous popes like Bendikt XVI or John Paolo II. Also a board with icons from the orthodox church was there.
It was a really interesting stay there and an reason to come back.
The Saint Ottilien Abbey near the Ammersee:
The Saint Ottilien (Archabbey) Abbey loceated at the north west side of the Ammersee is a Benedictine Abbey and one of the most famous Benedictine monastery Abbey of Bavaria and Germany. The monastery complex incudes an own chapel, an guest house, the house of the Exertiens, the old guest house which was a birth place in the past and a misions museum. Other buildings are an intern restaurant with eating opportunity outside, a book shop and a farm called "Gut Emming". The church is called hearth of Jesu Christ (Herz Jesu). The bells of the massive tower can shell in a traditional bells rang and a historic rang. Famous mounks of the Abbey are Norbert Weber 1902-1930, Suso Brechter 1957-1974 or Wolfgang Öxler since 2012.
