The Sake Brewery nearest to Mount Fuji: Fujimasa

Fujimasa Brewery stands at 900m of altitude on the Asagiri plateau and is the closest sake brewery to Mount Fuji. Fujimasa Brewery has a long uninterrupted history dating back to 1866 and is nowadays run by the 9th generation. It is using the underground natural water from Mt Fuji, rich in vanadium and minerals to make their sake.
The company is made of young employees working with passion, in this cold season they welcomed us with their warm “omotenashi”, and opened to us their factory without any secrets.
