As salaam alakium thank you for this lecture on Ramadan it was very inspirational can I ask a question how can me as a Muslim man meet a Muslim woman for marriage I went to the masjid in N.Y.C. asking and they said they don't do that so how can I meet a sister for marriage I'm sorry to ask this question but I never thought it would be this difficult being we both are Muslims because it seem like can't even speak to a Muslim sister .

Have you read the tafsirs by Imams Tabari, Qurtubi, Suyuti, ibn kathir all said in their tafsirs that the Quran confirms the sun is orbiting above a flat and stationary earth. Imams of tafsir claimed consensus on this matter. Below is the tafsir of 88:20 by imam al Suyuti 88:20 Jalal - Al-Jalalayn [And the earth, how it was laid out flat], As for His words sutihat, ‘laid out flat’, this on a literal reading suggests that the earth is flat, which is the opinion of most of the scholars of the [revealed] Law, and not a sphere as astronomers (ahl al-hay’a) have it

And others have used tafasir of the Quran to suggest it is round as well such as Al Hazm, Al Juwany and Al Jawzi. Quran 39:5 suggests that the night wraps around the day and vice versa. The point is, the Quran is not a book of science but a book of guidance - the verse you mentioned 88:20 doesn’t itself indicate that the earth is flat, it is true that from our perspective, the earth is spread out.

@is.2sa akhi, you missed the point. The quran is a book of facts, not a book of metaphors. It seems you are wanting to use science as your yardstick, so I'll break it down for you using your yardstick. True science proves that earth is flat. There are many proofs, I will give you one for starters. Water is flat at its surface + 70% of earth is water = therefore earth is flat. I only say that because there are some imposters acting like they're scientists. Putting out fake science. And calling it science. You can probably tell by now. That I don't adhere to. Fake space. Fake planets. The fake speed the Earth is supposed to be moving through a fake universe 67,000 miles an hour? All while it's supposedly chasing the Sun that's going 440,000 miles an hour? I still don't know how that works? Neither of them have an engine or propulsion? They just magically say the same speed? Not slowing down not speeding up? Kind of like magic? Like fake magic gravity? Or fake magic curvature? They're all lies. And anybody that does any kind of serious research into it finds out real quick that they're all lies. NASA's budget is 50 million a day. And that's if they don't ask for another trillion or whatever because the asteroids supposedly about to hit the Earth yeah I'm sure we're getting saved from a lot of asteroids supposed to be hitting the Earth yeah right that's all lies too fictitious fairy tales.
