Your Question of the Day: Did the Magic spend their cap wisely this summer?
@stevec41892 ай бұрын
nope team has same problems as last yr. all they did was sign a better gary harris only to resign gary harris. pg was the major need or a volume scorer to ease paolo workload. kcp is not a volume scorer

no reason to speed the timeline and sacrifice your identity at the same time, i wanted tyus jones but im guessing they are gonna play the long game and trade for the right playmaker. teams are starting to learn that quality role players and depth help tremendously in the modern nba. Question? if the magic tremendously improve there 3point shooting, will WCJ lose his starting role? i felt at times that goga's style of play was a better fit when the rest of the team was doing well stretching the floor.

WCJ + Garry H are def trade bait… let’s cook up those scenarios ASAP

Off season not convincing - hoping that reach of a extension for Franz ages well
@navisawesome032 ай бұрын
Tyus Jones is a back-up, plain and simple. He wasn't starting over Suggs, wasn't going to sign with us for the minimum, no room. Could you imagine Jones and Cole on the floor together? Trade assets for DLo? Trey? Simmons? Overpaying for negligible change is insane, quick way to get fired. Magic exceeded last season; people quick to forget. Internal growth is the real solution.
@BrentonBannister-gc2pt2 ай бұрын
Relying on internal growth can also spell stagnation - soooooo lol
@navisawesome032 ай бұрын
@BrentonBannister-gc2pt I agree that stagnation can definitely occur, but I feel like that hasnt happened yet. This season is going to be crucial.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Howard get 5-7 3PA per game

Yes, the salary cap will also require the Magic to eventually decide who is worth paying big $$. Tax team real soon.

I know we already made one mistake 🤫

Future roster moves will be trades.

I don’t see how Tyus Jones starts for the Suns unless they trade Beal.
@BrentonBannister-gc2pt2 ай бұрын
Nobody wants Beal - not even Phoenix

If tyus jones was not what the Orlando magic was looking for then why are you talking about him for. You like him but the team you are supposed to represent don’t care. You should be talking about a curry trade from warriors

spent all there cap and still have the same issues, no point guard, little volume 3pt shooting/ scoring beside paolo franz.

Last year Suggs shot almost 40% we signed KCP, who is a career 40% guy. Paolo improving his shot will help also, but the BIGGEST x-factor is Franz. He was a good shooter first two years, but last year his shot fell off a cliff. He was 1-for-14 in game 7 in Cleveland. We need the old Franz back if this team is going to be a championship contender in a few years.
@stevec41892 ай бұрын
@@FerrumCido what your not understanding is kcp is not a volume 3pt shooter/ scorer and the same for suggs. yes they shot 40 percent but for kcp it was on 4 attempts. once again due to weltman off season failure paolo workload is going to be huge. he did nothing to help paolo game to be eaiser
@brandonsingh50832 ай бұрын
@@stevec4189would you have rather signed Tyus Jones than KCP? Both expect to be starters and we only had 1 guard spot available to start so we could only get 1. They chose KCP

@@ScummieLifeSwype nah truth… still no “table setter” as P5 requested… they trying to get P5 to look for greener pastures

THEY DID NOTHING TO SHOW THERE A SERIOUS TEAM TRYING TO WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP. EVERY TIME ORLANDOGETS A GOOD TEAM THEY NEVER GO TO THE EXTENT TO WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP. SORRY BUT ORLANDO NEEDS NEW OWNERSHIP THAT SHOWS US FANS THERE SERIOUS TO WIN BUT THE DEVOS DONT CARE AS LONG AS MONEY GOING IN THERE POCKETS.
@LockedOnMagic2 ай бұрын
They did spend a lot of money on bringing in a new starter. A player that is widely recognized around the league as someone who will contribute to a championship. They weren't splashy. The goal was not to win the headlines. But their two best players are 21 and 22 years old. I get the caution to let those guys grow. But I get the frustration they didn't address point guard -- there really weren't point guards to pursue.
@Mr_Don12 ай бұрын
LOL, yes they did. Keeping their own free agents was smarter than blowing $50 million on Paul George, who has never won anywhere. They have a team full of ascending players. Keeping them together was a no-brainer. I was praying that they didn't sign Paul George because I think it would have been a waste.
