This is great, and makes me wish I hadn't swapped my Bultaco Pursang for a 1303 Beetle back in the day! I spent a whole summer trying to get it going, and discovered that the flywheel keyway needed re-machining, so thinking it too difficult (working with borrowed woodworking tools in my parents garage) I jumped at the chance of swapping it for a running VW. THEN, a week later they car owner came to say hello on my old bike as he was passing... "You got it going.... How, did you split the crank in a week?" I asked I didn't he said... I glued it on with Araldite!!! That remains an important life lesson, on how not to overthink a problem. Yes, it is nice to do things the correct way, but that's no good if you have to walk home!!! (That bike was still going 20 years later with the Araldite... The beetle never passed another MOT)

Hi Nigel that’s a great story and one that I can relate to as I used to have an old NSU Quickly 50cc moped when I was about 16 that I used to play around on back in the day and it was always breaking woodruff keys on the flywheel and my biking friend used to make new ones for me almost weekly, although it wasn’t until later I discovered that the crank was moving up and down so much that it was that that was causing the problem. But a great story and thanks again for your comments and for taking the time to watch my content.

My dads first trials bike was a bultaco 250 sherpa. He still reminisces about it , and always says never sell store.

Had a Honda TL 125 with high boy frame back in 1978, had more fun on that bike than any other, light, nimble, I think it had the 150cc conversion head, had plenty power for a 125cc 4T,

Good day SIR . I remember Rodger DeCoster came up with a similar idea call RIBI. For injuries of the wrist and Nevicular bone. A swing arm fork with a single shook.

Great vid Chris, I commented a while back that maybe you should shoot some video of the classic twin shock trials bikes. Now that you have done that let’s move on and shoot some competition, many of the former world champions are back competing. And a stroll through the paddocks would be really cool. Keep up the great work on the vids you shoot thanks

David Zornes Hi David Trials machines are not really my forte and know absolutely nothing about them although when they appear I am happy to feature them. You may like my next video which will be a 1981 350 Ossa “Big Yellow Gripper” Trials machine. Thanks for watching and for your kind comments.

Lovely bikes. Wish I still had my Bantam trials, and my AJS Stormer 410 that cost me the princely sum £90 back in 1977😢

threepot they would be worth a lot. I never should have sold my 74 250 bultaco persang .it was cherry . Lost my job and I sold it in 2000 for $500 .i could get $8 grand for it now it was so nice owned it for 24 years . Only problem I had was that almost every time I took it out something broke, not the bike ME. To old for that shit oh well .
