Great video, I am especially interested in the legato articulations and their playability. How does the essentials package compare to the Performance Legto patches you get in the Chamber Strings Core library?

Greetings! I have never used the core library myself so not sure how to answer this. My assumption is they would be the same or similar but might be best someone else chimes in who has experience with both libraries :)

I really enjoy watching the presentations and the compositions. I especially like the composition. I have a few questions. Did you use a metronome while composing? Was a piano sketch made?

Thanks so much! We really feel hearing the libraries in context is so important for composers, hence the compositions! Thanks so much for the great feedback! Hopefully Chester will jump in and let you know how he put together the composition!

Greetings! Chester here, I didn't use a metronome while composing the piece. Yes a piano sketch was first made, I find that when I really need to buckle down and get a musical piece done that a piano sketch is a great roadmap to achieve this outcome. Especially with a string ensemble. Cheers!

Helpful video. Does this work in the Spitfire player, or just Kontakt? I have to wait on a sale, but it's my next buy. Cheers.

Let me ask you this. Chamber vs Studio?
@thesampleist Жыл бұрын
Sampleist Pete here! Great question! They are two of my most used string libraries so hard to say. Studio Pro can sound big and lush or a little smaller and I guess more band based. Chamber just has the detail and richness. I often combine other Spitfire libraries such as Symphony Strings and HZ and use Studio and Chamber to add varying degrees of detail, definition and depth. For ultra I add Chamber, for slightly softer yet still detailed, it’s Studio. If I had to compose with one, it’s a tough call but I’d probably go Chamber Strings. Both libraries are work horses though and I’ve used them both a lot :) two great purchases there :)

@@thesampleist I own Studio, LCO, Appasionatta, Solo strings, frozen strings and Dan Keens library. I still lust for Sarconni, alternative, and Chamber. I just always wondered if I should have gone Chamber rather than Solo. Yet, I feel like I can almost create my own Chamber-ish section with what I have. I also have NI Cremona Quartet and have plans of arranging them as well. I feel so Blessed, thankful, and excited with what we have available to us today. You certainly could not work fron home this way 20 years ago. Now I just need to make my teenage self proud of my today self! Lol Great channel man. I appreciate what you do. For sure

@@WinItReigns That’s a great selection of strings you have there! Alternative is actually one of my favourite all time string libraries! I picked it up in a Spitfire Audio sale a few years back and use it a lot! The Chamber Essentials is very attractive at this price point and I’d have jumped on them in an instant had I not bought Chamber Strings a few years ago. I think after a year of good use I upgraded to the pro version to prevent all my chamber string work sounding too similar in the long run! Absolutely perfect! I think you’ve nailed it! We live in a time where there are so many wonderful options for us to choose from. Great libraries, great developers and great community! What more could we ask for? Thanks for the great feedback! Have a great weekend :)

I am really really missing the flautando from the full library and omitted here... Beautiful sound otherwise.
