***PSA*** Remember folks, just like with the S20, just like with the S21 and just like with the S22 series last year, the camera quality we see at launch will NOT be the same camera quality 6-8 months down the line. Samsung always updates the camera quality, this is pretty much expected now, so if the camera quality is slightly improved now over the S22 series, then expect that margin to widen considerably after a few updates once again. Samsung's AI models get trained as you use them, and the only way to improve the quality is to get these phones in real world hands in real world situation gathering that real world data. So in effect, we consumers help improve the quality of the camera, and I'm all for that.

I have used my S22 Ultra for a few months now, and I can't complain about anything. I moved from an S10+ so the jump was miles big and it really felt like it deserved the money even though I paid like 900$ for the phone. Seeing the S23 Ultra, I have to say that, even though I love the design of the S22, keeping it the exact same is not one of the best moves that Samsung made. Also, I bought the S22 mostly for the camera, which didn't disappoint at all. Seeing the new camera, I can say that it is definitely an upgrade, but I cannot say that it is worth to go from an S22 Ultra to an S23 Ultra. If you really need a better camera, for almost 1300$ it would be better to buy a DSLR and get better photos and videos, as the S22 Ultra has a more than good camera for day to day photos. I can see myself buying a new phone when the S24 Ultra appears maybe. Then the jump would be higher and the difference would definitely be worth it. A really great idea for a new vid, would be to do a head to head comparison between all the flexibility and features of Nova Launcher and One UI on the NEW S23 Ultra. I am convinced that the experience with the Nova Launcher is much better, but I'd love to see it go head to head with the One UI's newest edition. I tried to stay on the One UI skin when I first got my S23U, but kept running into limitations which made me long for Nova. All the extra gestures, instead of just three, allow me to really use my phone so much more efficiently. And having more choices for app grids on the home screen and app screen was a must, instead of being limited to just a few choices on One UI. Please do a head to head, and let's see if I'm missing something or not. Thanks.

@@SVW1976Nova Launcher is great, but it seems to have become abandonware... 😕 Also the last major update (or one of them) did away with a host of features (scroll speed etc.) - I'm guessing it must've been a limitation of one of the incremental Android updates rather than an intentional decision to remove such an objectively beneficial mechanic from their launcher 🤷♀

On Samsung Canada's website, they offer me $800 trade in value on my S21 ultra (128GB), then $200 off the cost of the 23 Ultra because of pre-order, and $150 off (Cost $50) for a pair of ear budz 2. The 512GB version with trade in cost me around $850 Canadian. Saves me the hassle of trying to sell it private, my carrier in Canada doubles the cost of the phones and charges you like $60 a month for it and their trade in value was $350. The discount on the trade in, is applied right away at checkout and you don't have to send them the phone until they send you the new one. It's nice to have but when choosing a phone I would never consider speaker quality. So many other things for me to compare that matter more to me. I would understand it being important for low end phones, especially ones without a headphone jack. Getting Bluetooth headphones that aren't awful costs a decent amount of money, but if you're buying a flagship phone without a headphone jack and you aren't gonna buy Bluetooth audio devices I feel like you have a budgeting problem.
@AshrZ Жыл бұрын
@@ianmacdonald4163 idk about you, I mean, I have some pretty darn good wireless IEMs but I still do consider speaker quality when I look at a phone. I recently went from an ASUS ROG phone 2 to a pixel 7 pro, and holy cow, the speakers on the pixel are far worse. Things like ringtones and notification sounds are genuinely hindered by a lack of a proper set of speakers-especially when someone like myself outfits certain people and applications with certain ringtones/notification sounds I personally believe a phone's speakers are pretty dang useful in everyday life. But I can also definitely see where you're coming from; I wouldn't make speakers a dealbreaker ever, but if I was stuck between two phones, I would definitely use speakers as a way to justify one, because at the end of the day, if you ever need to pop a quick song out, they can be useful in a pinch!

If they reintroduced the micro-SD card, it would make a real difference. That external memory is so useful for _large_ media files, either downloaded shows to watch on the go (perfect unlimited 5G doesn't cover the entire planet) or when you are recording a long event - say a recital or concert by a family member [one of the layers of hell BTW]. But for me no expandable memory is a deal breaker, these days it adds a TB… that can be swapped out in a emergency.
@cashreedhar Жыл бұрын
They won't do. The main reason is people pop in slow SD cards and the experience won't be very nice, that affects brand image. Imagine they are including fastest ufs storage and an SD card slowing the whole phone
@Kwijiboi Жыл бұрын
@@cashreedhar I want the SD storage as well. Using ufs as the reason is silly. On vacation or shooting lots of pictures and video, you use up storage quick. Being able to swap out a sdcard allows you to use your phone as you would a camera. Notice how cameras still use memory cards and not just built in storage? I can understand how 8k might exceed sd bandwidth (I dont actually know) but being able to slowly offload from ufs onto SD cards during downtime as backup and then free to clear the ufs storage is such a big deal to me. That, and the fact that Samsung limits to 512, or if you can find one, 1tb for an arm and a leg, but during trade in, it's worth the same as a 128 (now 256) is a slap in the face. Samsung used to have all the "power user" features. Last time I left my Bluetooth headphones at home and found my old wired ones, I couldnt use it with my note phone because they removed the headphone jack. Stupid that you have these features in a midrange and low end phone but not the flagship.

I'm currently using the note 10plus to type this Lol! Would you say it's worth the upgrade? I bought this brand new and its sad that they've discontinued it. I truly like the feel of this slim feel it has now. The ultra 22 and 23 just seem a bit bulkier to me and don't look as sleek and elegant. What's your opinion on having trading yours in? Was it worth it?

Nah MKBHD is extremely biased apple fanboi. You can hear in his voice always trying hard not to say anything about non apple products.

MKBHD is hard fanboy of apple. It takes an eternity for him to admit something that is better than apple.

@@narendranath1006 lol not really , you guys said the same thing when Arun smoked S22U during IPhone 14 Pro vs S22U camera comparison.
