This is the same Sandman. The same Astra. Different Constantine (due to multiple reasons). Oh you're gonna be SO happy when you get to episode 4. Also, can we agree that the word "happy" coming from Dream when he's talking to Constantine is just...oof, all the pain there. As far as how long Rachel was there using the sand? My guess would be 5 months. It's long enough to get emaciated to that level, plus it makes sense that she wouldn't immediately start into it if she called Constantine's exs.
