Thank you Professor, I am from Italy and studying hindu doctrines inclunding Sankhya. I would be interesting to have one more lesson on tanmatras and mahabhutas, I can't undestand how they evolve from ahankara and which are their properties and how they constitute the physical objects. I have another question, dear Professor: could we say that Mahat is the place of the archetypes, meaning an ontological point of the universe, beyond space and time, where all the aspects of the things coexist simultaneously? And, moreover, could we say that Mahat, in the act of put himself as subject, creates space and time?

It would be great to see some discussion of the Bhagavata form of Sankhya from the Pancaratra. This often gets sidestepped in favor of Ishvara Krishna's presentation.

I can't understand the argument that says for a finite effect there needs to be an infinite cause. Why so? What exemples can support this statement?
@MrWarriorspirit6 жыл бұрын
Because every effect when produced has a specific position in space-time(which itself is a production). Therefore, prior to production it had no finite position and hence it was in-finite(not finite)

Sevak Kirakosyan Tha Absolute Truth is beyond worldly logic. Worldly logic is a tool only. When one makes it into the object one simply remains in illusion. The only object should be Krishna, Govinda.

Samkhya is the closest philosophy to what modern science says about matter and energy being non-creatable but only transformable. But materalistic science still has to figure out what is Purusha or consciousness! The Indian sages had it ALL worked out.

Thank you Professor. You have given a very clear and easily understandable speech on a very profound philosophy.Thanks a lot. Sir I have a doubt, that , when Lord Krishna (God) himself is explaining Arjun about Sankhya philosophy , how can one interpret as atheistic ? Or is it that one can interpret Sankhya philosophy according to one's own belief system i.e. to say for a believer in God it's theistic philosophy and for a non-believer it's atheistic.?
@calliesma15 жыл бұрын
Maybe he is speaking of its being both spiritual and completely scientific and void of metaphysics simultaneously. We tend to think of Atheism as a religion, but is it not the belief in the absence of God? I'd love to hear other people's take on this very good question.
