Those same police go home and beat their own spouses. What a joke to pretend like they care about anyone else. The entire system is the problem because it’s set up to protect the abuser. That’s why he was repeatedly let go and she was repeatedly ignored. It’s the exact same here in the states. My own mom was arrested by the cops for having the audacity to do her job and protect me after my little brother’s dad tried to strangle me when I was 6 years old. I was called a liar. The cops insisted on protecting a child abuser.

@@mariaorourke5236 Yes, men are sometimes the victims of domestic abuse too, but the fact that you feel compelled to leave multiple comments which seem to equate the two is rather disturbing. If we look at human history, tradition, religion, culture, mentality and patriarchal societal norms, femicide was and still is alternately allowed, encouraged, justified and very common. The statistics will tell you that the VAST majority of domestic violence victims across the globe are women. I do not think that this is an appropriate place to repeatedly try to insert much less frequent forms of abuse, when this video exposes a frequent toxic phenomenon of femicide, which costs 2 women their lives every single week and while men are still frequently tought that being male means being dominant, aggressive and violent. You keep insisting on repeating what we already know, while the systemic problem lies elsewhere. It just feels exaggerated, misleading and wrong.

@gaiagreen2690 All lives matter. As much as I hate that women die due to spouse abuse one cannot deny that women do commit domestic violence. But if were honest, we kill more unborn children than husbands and ex husbands kill women. Very, very few speak up for them. Also, KZbin is still a relatively "free country." Allow others to say what's on their mind and seek change in your real-life community. Write your mayor or any authority you feel isn't addressing the problem.

Heartbreaking 💔 A lot of people blame the police but it’s not the police’s fault that criminals are let out on bail, it’s the CPS. They’ll only agree to charges or keep a defendant on remand if it’s almost “guaranteed” they’ll be a conviction. It’s all about money. They don’t want cases that are likely to “fail” and so they release the suspects. Unfortunately and devastatingly it’s when they’re released their victims are in serious danger, more than ever. 😢🥺😔

Using Holmes's own analogy, 'when you have illuminated all probabilities, that which remains must be the truth', Obviously this monster came in on a false name, since he was the only person who held malice toward this unfortunate woman. Nowadays, he'd just get on a dinghy in France, throw his papers in the sea, and be escorted by the RNLI taxi service to Dover; and on to a five star hotel.

Do the women in Britain not have any rights? Are they treated as second rate? I have watched a few of these lately on cases in Britain and same result. Man attacks women, man gets off and kills women. This creep strangles her, flees the county, gets caught coming back in and case dismissed. He then attacks her with witnesses and even with a history of a flight risk he gets let out on bail. I had no idea England was so uncivilized.

If someone who claims they love you hurts you, they don’t. I know firsthand it’s easier said than done, but leave the first chance you get! NOTHING you do can change it. Leave before it’s too late! I left, but it took me 23 years. I regret waiting that long because I’m WAY stronger than I ever thought I could be and my girls are very very proud of who I’ve become. The police would serve victims of domestic abuse better by understanding the mind of a violent narcissist and anticipate the outcome.
