I couldn't agree more. I hate when they cut members of the pride away from each other too. Please keep your distance vehicles. I know the lions don't get bothered by it, but they deserve their space.

It’s not unusual. More than half of lion cubs perish in the first year.

@@titus0856 I don’t really know. It seems to be the same no matter what. The mhangeni females had a lot of cubs with othawa male and they all died but 1. True he was just 1 male but there was 6 females. It’s possible other predators get them when the pride goes hunting for one reason among others like getting lost or not enough to eat if there are a lot of cubs at once. I remember reading about that last one.

I think circumstances and lion dynamics have a lot to do with it too. Neighboring males can also be a high cause of cub deaths if the current state of dynamics is not peaceful.

One out of seven cubs make it to adulthood. So that's not real good odds.
