Jimmy makes KZbin WAY too much money and has an audience of children who don’t understand nor care about what’s going on behind the scenes. And too many people are willing to sell their souls for a feature in a Mrbeast video to boost their own channel’s numbers. New children will keep coming onto KZbin and be fed his videos via recommendations and his numbers will even out when the aging audience figures out how fucked up his business is and leaves. Also want to clarify here in Australia it is much easier to advertise gambling to minors as there are no bans or rules on ads like this. Our politics even have been caught trying to hid 'donations' from gambling schemes to PREVENT a bill being created that will limit the amount of minors who will see these ads. I would say it's no coincidence why they chose Australia.
@tkps3 ай бұрын
There is a bill being debated atm but I think they'd put this into the category of 'competition' rather than gambling. Saying that though the competition seems to involve playing a pokie game which is dodgy. As far as I know gambling ads are not allowed to be broadcast during the hours children watch TV/Cable. But as we all know online is not treated the same and I often see gambling ads on YT videos at any time of the day or night. Government could fix it with a swipe of a pen yet they're arguing so I wonder why.

Mr Beast's next video: "Last to Talk to a Minor Wins $1,000,000 (IMPOSIBLE CHALLENGE!!)"
@CheeseLover233 ай бұрын
As a father of an 8 year old boy who loves/loved Mr Beast, this has been an interesting and difficult situation to navigate. I think if I didn’t say anything, my son would continue to watch Beast vids blissfully unaware of any of these allegations. However, I’ve taken it upon myself to explain (to some degree, at that age he obv doesn’t need all the details) that Mr Beast has done some bad things and that we won’t be watching anymore. It’s actually been a good opportunity for me to talk with him about a lot of things…why we should avoid idolizing anyone, how people can do good things for bad reasons and how oftentimes people aren’t just “good” or “bad” - there’s bad people who’ve done good things and there’s good people who’ve done bad things.

@hollypixie42853 ай бұрын
Agreed. I think people are really simplifying this "iPad kid" issue. The issue is not that I let my 8 year old use the family iPad for gaming and videos, it's being unaware of what is going on in their lives. People who don't let their children use the internet but will allow them to make friends with just whomever they happen to run into are just as guilty of not engaging with their children in order to keep them as safe as possible. It's our job as parents to be aware and engaged with what they are experiencing, to guide them in proper caution, judgement, and critical thinking. They are just children, after all, as we all once were. Mr. Beast is an important teaching moment for my son, as I'm sure he is for yours: when someone seems to be giving away something that's too good to be true, ask yourself: who is benefiting and how? Where does the money come from? Is there another reason someone would like me to like them other than just good nature? Is this chance worth it if I lose? Am I supporting behavior that will ultimately hurt me or the society I live in? They are important questions with complicated answers, and they are worth talking about.

it worked great for years. it doesn't work when a scandal has allready gone viral, until that point no but in terms of the "segs offender" his case was either thrown out or he won. Inocent until proven guilty is moot when it comes to these cases it seems and your life get's destroyed over it, it is happening to me please don't just assume a guy, even one you've never seen and don't know the actual name of is just guilty because someone who didn't actually know him either said he was said to be. I was banished from my social circle and my dormitory over false or perhaps wrongfull allegations (we were both drunk but neither of us was that drunk I think, I remember her even smiling at me in the morning though she told me she was no longer interested in a date but that she really needed to get ready cause she had to go new yearing with her God child. I was gobsmacked 26 days later, called up as i was still taking an oral exam, i actually passed but i'd have to redo a paper that had to go with it, i am terrible at those since i keep tracking off which i'm doing here i guess. I then called back after and was told to come to the rectorry (deans building) I did, I entered and was immediatly met by a guy that for some reason acted extremely cold (he was the head of campus security there because offcourse they can't take chances) and then entered a room with a woman (psychologist/uni judicial council)who had daggers in her eyes when looking at me. I immediatly found out why when reading the title of the letter handed over to me, It described a collorfull account which somehow both described me as an utter monster doing terrible things, getting a girl drunk then dragging her to her room and R'ing her. Only I was drunk myself, and we started flirting after i rushed over asking her if she needed help after falling and afterwards just kept talking and flirting. I didn't even try to get to her room cause i had prior obligations but I agreed to go with her (a second time btw, first time was to show her room (alledgedly) but we were in a group and they urged to go to the bar instead) so the second time she immediatly demanded i take of my clothes, I am autistic as hell, I know what going to a room implies but i never had it turn out like this either. .... I'l spare you the rest but remember that even when you didn't do anything extreme you could simply be deemed guilty without a trial or offcourse be found guilty whilst inocent. (like him or hate him the recent case against Trump regarding events that alledgedly happened decades ago with litterally no witnesses, no evidence and not even the alledged victim remembering important details like the day, the place, the occasion,.... but still he was found guilty. Then there are actual terrible people who abused a position of power to sell opportunity for segsual favours but despite this being clearly wrong it wasn't R either which is why weinstein's case is being or has allready been overturned. His alledged victims were not forced, nothing was actually taken for them for not complying but they would lose out on opportunity if they refused, scummy but the women that did refuse are perhaps the ones that got it worst, they didn't sell their dignity but those who did were suddenly heroes???

I hate that one of the arguments Jimmy's child fans use is that "he could have quit the challenge anytime". It really shows how they don't have any real-world knowledge due to their young age. The dude mentions multiple times that he's poor (despite working for MrBeast) and so if he wanted to live a normal life out of poverty, he needed to do this challenge. This is classic manipulation, Jimmy using his wealth to force poor people to do his challenges. Furthermore, he worked for MrBeast at the time! (contracted at the time) do you think he'd still have a job if he quit this massive production after so much had been invested? What their argument basically is is "if this poor dude didn't want to be tortured by Jimmy, he should just get fired and become homeless" and they don't think that's absolute insanity? Even if we ignore all of that, he was told his needs would be provided for him. Yet they refused to turn off the lights to allow him to sleep, the machines he was given were broken or became unusable very quickly. What he thought he was going in for was completely different in reality and MrBeast's team surely knew that.

Dogpack is playing this incredibly smart. MrBeast won't respond until all 3 videos are released. Dogpack releases these gradually and the longer between the videos, the longer MrBeast takes to address the accusations and the worse this spirals across the entirety of KZbin (ie this video and hundreds and thousands of creators posting about it now). It's either coincidence or by design, but Dogpacks gradual releases and MrBeast refusing to address the allegations until all videos are released is completely digging MrBeasts grave.
