I remember when these originally came out in the seventies. Disappointed that the marvel back stories were not included but understandable since this isn't published by Marvel. Wish I picked up the Marvel first printing years ago. These Titan printings are more expensive than the usual discounted omnis. I may just splurge on this first edition only however after seeing these initial stories as I remember them on your video. Those Neal Adams covers were a treat. The nostalgia these have for me is strong. It was such an exciting period when these were first published along with all the other Marvel magazines. Conan outlasted them all. I wish I saved them. Thank goodness for the omnis. I have a modest collection consisting mostly golden, silver and bronze age. For me the best periods in comics. Omar's appreciation for all comics is hearting and impressive. Here's hoping for omnis of Mighty Marvel Western, Rampaging Hulk black and white magazine and All Star Squadron.

Rampaging Hulk is an under appreciated title in my opinion. I thought the Simonson and Alcala art was great and I thought the Moench stories were fine. Bloodstone was a great back up feature.

I jumped on the order on Tue, received the book in Fri, and am almost halfway through. So good. 😂 I have many Titan OHCs and have always been impressed by the quality of the book production. But none of those are omnis, so I was eager to see if Titan could maintain the same quality control with an omni. The one I have has great construction. The spine seems less rigid than most Marvel omnis (even after proper stretching). Of course, I’ve had it under a week, so we’ll see how it holds up over time, but I’ve had many Marvel/DC omnis clearly have low quality construction on day one. This book seems at least so far to have the same high quality construction standards that I’ve always seen from Titan. I wish Marvel had better quality control from their printers. I know there were delays for this book, but I’ll take delays for higher quality control (especially at these prices). So glad to have this.

I just preordered. This video won me over haha. I loved these as individual magazines. The b&w art always let you know these were the more brutal stories. Conan always felt like a story that benefitted from b&w. Can’t wait for Tuesday.

OMG these volumes are expensive, but they look gorgeous. I may wait until the end of next year when the run is completed, and then get them for Christmas. Hopefully, the prices come down by then in the after market. I pretty much have all the individual magazine issues on digital, but it'd be nice to have them in the physical format.

By Crom it does exist! I preordered my copy back in Dec ‘22 so I wasn’t sure if it would ever get released. I’m so glad I’m able to get the one volume my Savage Conan collection was missing. I’ll eventually get over it but for a while it’s going to kind of bother me this volume doesn’t have the same logo as all my other Savage volumes. 😆

Great overview! I own the original printing of this book, but it was nice to see that the Titan edition is finally available. I hope this means that the new volumes that we were promised will be solicited soon! 🤞🤞💙👍🏼

I am so excited for this review. I love to give you grief, but thank you for taking your time and showing both. I am one of these people who has 2-8. Those end sheets are such a nice touch! Why didn't Marvel do that? Also, I am buying this for Conan, I kind of like not having the extra. Thank you Omar and Titan.

The Colossal King Conan and Colossal Conan The Cimmerian Omnibus are two that have not been in print for over 5 years! The artwork is superbly done and in colour. The stories within these are considered the best in my opinion of any Conan collection.

I have the Savage Sword of Conan Volumes 1 to 8. I missed out on the first three Chronicles of Conan omnibuses. I prefer Savage Sword so I made getting those my priority. I am looking forward to picking up the first Chronicles omnis and Vol 9 of Savage Sword.

Been looking forward to this for thel 2 year and now it is coming. Had to go with the standard edition for this book as my retailer for some reason has decided to inflate the dm edition by some 20 ukp. But thd standard cover won't ruin my enjoy. I hope my rose Tinted classes will become clear as I sit and relive the title in over 40 years.

It was great getting the rest of Savage Tales #1 in the Marvel edition as it is such a rare and expensive comic.

The original story and artwork, and print format is really amazing for the Savage Sword of Conan omnibus volumes (at least for volume 1 to 8 under Marvel). I already have the volumes 1 to 8 of the Savage Sword of Conan (SSOC) the original Marvel Years. I'm glad Titan is continuing this. Not going to buy volume 1 to 8 under Titan as I already have the Marvel volumes. I pre-ordered Savage Sword of Conan vol. 9 by Titan it has 1,072 pages. I hope I get the same quality like the Marvel omnibus volumes. I plan to also pre-order the volume 10. But I looked at the page count, it's only 516 pages. Why did Titan drop the pages down to half and the price didn't dropped much. I had all the volumes 1 to 8, the pages were at least almost 800 pages and more ( Vol 1 - 1040 pages, Vol 2 - 856 pages, Vol 3 - 944 pages, Vol 4 - 976 pages, Vol 5 - 768 pages, Vol 6 - 1016 pages, Vol 7 - 936 pages, Vol 8 - 1056 pages, Vol 9 - 1072 pages, Vol 10 - 516 pages). Lowest page count was on volume 5, 768 pages. For the upcoming volume 10, why is it only 516 pages? Is it mini version of the regular omnibus series? I hope Titan is more consistent with the pages numbers to be roughly around the same in the 900s and 1000s pages, it's feels like they are short changing or downsizing on volume 10. I hope it's not a trend with lower page number or lower comic issues per omnibus volume. Please Titan, keep volumes pages consistent to 900 to 1000 pages or about 15 to 18 issues per volume. It will be more appeal to see a collection of thick hardcover bound omnibus volumes. And it's a little sad or miserable to see one or a few thin volumes in between like they are neglected didn't get the same love and attention as the full volume ones. I hope you know what I mean.

I understand that they are also bringing out Savage Sword volume 9 at the same time. I have the first 4 Marvel volumes of Savage Sword so I won’t be buying these again. However, I want to start reading again when Roy Thomas rejoins the title. Unfortunately Titan’s advance information don’t make it clear which issues are reprinted in each volume. I would love to know which volume I should start buying again from.

Huge surprise.... It looks like checking my CGN orders today... Titan has pushed back the release dates on many of their Conan books yet again. Sure it's by a month or two (Dec)... but you can't f'n wait until launch day is upon you to keep pushing these back, and back and back.... At this point I'm going to refuse to PO anything else from Titan Comics until the can fulfill a couple of my current orders.

Volume 11 wouldn’t cover Conan’s return to Marvel… it (and volume 12, probably) would likely collect the plotlines from CtB that Roy Thomas shifted over to SSoC for the last year of that magazine’s existence after CtB was canceled, along with Conan the Adventurer #1-14, Conan #1-11 (probably minus the Rune crossover, sadly), and then the eight 3-issue Conan minis that ended Marvel’s original stint with Conan.

I love Conan, but does anyone know why these omnis cost so much? I mean I don't see the reason behind it being 150 dollars, considering the thinner paper and that its in black and white, and they can also ask 125 dollars for 500 or so pages. I usually get omnis way cheaper from dc and marvel from walts and other places... Just to prove my point, I got my Kull the Savage omni cheaper than this. And it was out of print by then...

Ordered Conan The Barbarian 1,2. Savage Sword 1,2,9 as soon as I found out they were coming back into print. I then proceeded to watch them get delayed over and over again. While I'm more than happy Titan comics is bringing these back into print, I've also learned my lesson to not pre-order and pay for omni's from Titan ahead of time as you'll more than likely find yourself disappointed. Sorry to be the only negative on here, but the truth is the truth.
