The sawstop safety system, how does it work?

See how the Sawstop safety system works. A slow motion video showing the amazing finger sensing technology. A microprocessor monitors a low voltage current that is running through the blade. Once something fleshy touches the blade, the microprocessor senses a drop in the voltage, and deploys an aluminium block to stop the blade within five milliseconds.
To ensure the machine is able to withstand the forces that are exerted when the brake has been deployed, it has been engineered to be extremely robust. The SawStop cabinet saw boasts 25% more cast iron than the competition, and 62mm bearings on the oversized saw arbour. Whilst these features are necessary for the activation of your brake, they also provide a day-to-day benefit by ensuring the saw runs vibration

you should never wear gloves when you are working on such a spinning machine. That includes tablesaws, electrical planers and also any kind of routers. the problem is that the machines can grab the glove and pull you hand with the glove in itself, so you may not only lose some parts of your finger, but maybe your whole hand. What happens if I am cutting ACM material (dibond)? this material has two layers of aluminum and a rubber core plus can store a fair bit of static electricity( and get shocked xD) especially when grabbing them stacked on top of each other from delivery. Im assuming the saw blade would stop if my hand was making contact with the aluminum edges and that touched the blade if that makes sense? I work in the sign trade and it would be really nice to see a safety feature like this in place for reassurance but unfortunately we work mostly with ACM and don't think it would be worth installing, does anyone know anything about it as im not sure what would be the out come?

Well first of all it wust just a dumb thought because I think too much about possibilities. Here's the situation you lock all your tools up, you just finished using the saw the all of a sudden you hear something break inside, you check it out then you got spotted by the intruders then run back to where you came to hide and remember the keys to the lock of your tools are inside but the only thing you have is the saw so yeah. Just a random thought on what if that happens.
